Nintendo first revealedKirby and the Forgotten Landlast year with an impressive trailer that has generated quite a bit of buzz from Nintendo fans who are excited to see Kirby finally get a full-fledged 3D adventure. With theKirby and the Forgotten Landrelease date just a couple of months away, Nintendo has been ramping up its marketing push for the game, releasing screenshots on social media highlighting its various features.
Nintendo recently dropped a newKirby and the Forgotten Landgameplay trailer that revealed its March 25 release date as well as its co-op feature. Nintendo then followed up on that trailer by releasing someKirby and the Forgotten Landscreenshotsthat gave fans a closer look at its co-op mode, highlighting how Kirby and Waddle Dee will be able to work together to take out enemies. Now Nintendo has released yet another batch ofKirby and the Forgotten Landscreenshots, this time focusing on Kirby’s copy abilities.

The first two screenshots show off two new copy abilities that Kirby will have inKirby and the Forgotten Land: the Ranger and the Drill. The Drill in particular seems like it will be used quite frequently in the game, if the latestKirby and the Forgotten Landgameplay traileris any indication. There will likely be some other new copy abilities for Kirby to utilize in the new game that haven’t been revealed yet, but in the meantime, Nintendo has confirmed the return of some fan favorites.
The other four screenshots released by Nintendo show how some ofKirby’s classic copy abilitieslook in a 3D game world. The screenshots show Kirby utilizing his Bomb, Hammer, Sleep, and Tornado copy abilities, all of which should be familiar to longtime fans of theKirbyfranchise. It looks like these copy abilities will function similarly to how they work in the 2DKirbygames, but they look a lot more impressive when presented in a 3D environment.
WhenplayingKirby and the Forgotten Landin co-op, it should be noted that only the first player will have access to these copy abilities. Player 1 will control Kirby, whereas player 2 controls the aforementioned Waddle Dee. But while Waddle Dee does not have Kirby’s copy abilities, he does come equipped with a spear with various functions that should ensure he can hold his own when fighting enemies.
Kirby and the Forgotten Landtrailersand screenshots have proven impressive so far, though it remains to be seen if the game will stick the landing.Kirbyfans will find out when the game launches at the end of March.
