Marvel’s Midnight Sunshas once again released a new trailer highlighting its roster of superheroes, this time focusing on the vampire hunter Blade. After suffering from a delay,Marvel’s Midnight Sunsultimately got a new release date, and is currently scheduled to come out on December 2 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
To build up anticipation, publisher 2K Games has been busy showing offeach character that players will get to play inMarvel’s Midnight Suns. So far, 2K has released spotlight trailers for Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Wolverine, Scarlet Witch, The Hunter, and Magik, with the latest being the half-human, half-vampire hybrid otherwise known as Blade.

In the trailer, players can see Blade in his standardMidnight Sunsattire while showing off his acrobatic maneuvers and precise sword mastery. The trailer also portrays Blade as being not only an excellent melee combatant, but also a versatile damage dealer who is able to hit from afar, as he can also be seen crushing an enemy using what appears to be a pair of submachine guns. The trailer ends with the Daywalker posing with his iconic glaive weapon after executing an AoE skill.
While not shown in the trailer,Blade also carries several damage-over-time abilities. This should play well when being synergized with characters who fall into the burst damage category, such as Ghost Rider or Captain Marvel. Judging from how the new trailer depicts the character, Blade inMidnight Sunsshould play as a more controlled and precise version of Wolverine.
Also not shown in the trailer is Blade’s personality.Marvel’s Midnight Sunsis a tactical RPG with deep social elements, which makes interacting with each character another high point of the game besides its combat system. Assuming the role of The Hunter, players can engage in several conversations, and they can choose to befriend characters by learning about their personalities. Blade should appear as a cold character inMidnight Suns, seeing that his tragic backstory in the game aligns with his retconned origin story in the comics.
After Blade, there are only two playable characters inMidnight Sunswho haven’t got their own spotlight trailers: Ghost Rider and Nico Minoru. With the game still being two months away, it’s only natural for 2K to give those two characters the same treatment. But before that happens, players should expect 2K to release two more trailers for Blade — with one telling the character’s history and the other showcasing his gameplay — provided that 2K follows itsestablished marketing pattern forMarvel’s Midnight Suns.
Marvel’s Midnight Sunsreleases December 2 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions are also in development.
