Fans have been highly anticipating the mobile version of one of the most popular MOBAs around today inLeague of Legends: Wild Rift. WhileWild Rifthas some major differences from the PC version ofLeague of Legends, all of the champions will eventually make their way to the mobile game. According to Riot, it is trying to include around half of its current champion roster for the mobile game’s launch.
League of Legends: Wild Riftis built from the ground up for mobile devices, but still promises a classicLeague of Legendsexperience. Riot says that this version is perfect for shorter sessions since games should average between 15-20 minutes. With some streamlined game elements,Wild Riftis great for beginners to learn different champions.

Apple recently hosted a preview of the mobile game, although with a focus on its performance on Apple’s iPhone 12s. During the preview, Riot is said to be planning to have about 70 playable champions whenWild Riftlaunches in North America in March. Currently, the champion roster is sitting at 47 champions, so Riot will need to add a decent chunk of its existing champion pool to the game by next month.
Riot recently included several Yordle champions intoWild Rift, but otherwise most of the existing roster is made of older, popularLeague of Legendschampions. In fact, the only new champion added toWild Riftfrom the last couple of years has beenSeraphine, the Starry-Eyed Songstress. In the newest patch, Xayah and Rakan will be added to the game, and Riot has confirmed Rammus and Katarina are on their way as well.
Since the PC version ofLeague of Legendshas over 150 champions, there are dozens of candidates for who could get added toWild Riftfor its March release. With the hugeRuined King storyline drivingLeague of LegendsSeason 11, it would make sense for champions such as Lucian, Senna, Thresh, and even Viego to joinWild Rift. Whatever the case, there will certainly be plenty of options to choose from that will entice gamers of all playstyles.
