Summary
AFortniteplayer constructed a fully functional Ferris wheel in the game’s recently added LEGO mode as part of a challenge. The creator shared a video of their impressive build online, where it was showered with praise by other players.
Released earlier this month,Fortnite’s LEGO mode introduced a cooperative sandbox survival experience that differed from the title’s established Battle Royale offering. By providing near-limitless creative freedom using LEGO’s iconic block system,LEGO Fortnite has given players the ability to construct stunning structures that could also pass as official LEGO sets. There are also builds that, while a bit rough around the edges, perfectly represent the spirit of fun that LEGO Fortnite tries to embody.
Among these is a fully functional Ferris wheel that was created by YouTuber ZeroYaHero as part of a build challenge with fellow content creator Mustard Plays. Sharing a video of his creation on the social media platform Twitter, ZeroYaHero claimed that he was “super happy” with how the Ferris wheel turned out despite the process to get the structure working being “super scuffed.” ZeroYaHero’s video showed the YouTube creator activating and using his custom Ferris wheel with the help ofLEGO Fortnite’s fly feature.
Mustard Plays was also pleased with ZeroYaHero’s build as he said it was “good” in a comment on the video. Meanwhile, a developer for theUnreal Editor forFortnite, also known as Fortnite Creative 2.0 or UEFN, described the work as being “absolutely insane.” ZeroYaHero, in response, revealed that the setup for his Ferris wheel was tedious, but he added it was also worth it for the satisfaction.
In addition to a Ferris wheel,LEGO Fortniteplayers have been able to recreate working versions of other real-world objects. One LEGO Fortnite player created a fully functional airshipusing Large Balloons, Small Thrusters, and Rustic blocks, among other building materials. The player, Reddit user psykrot, uploaded a video of their build online so that other people could replicate his fully functional LEGO Fortnite airship.
Fortnite’s LEGO mode has given its players, most of whom were already skilled in the game’s building system, a new way to express their creativity. It seems to have really struck a chord with many asLEGO Fortnite had more players than the game’s Battle Royale modeat one point. While LEGO Fortnite already provides a solid creative sandbox experience right now, Epic Games is seemingly already working to add more content to the game mode. KnownFortniteleaker and data miner iFireMonkey claimed that LEGO Fortnite is set to receive new items, enemies, and even vendor NPCs in future updates.
