Marvel’s Spider-Man 2fans are excited about the sequel for a number of reasons. Seeing more of Miles and Peter together should be a ton of fun, andthe debut of Venomwill make good on the teasers seen in the previous titles. As always, fans are very interested in the game’s lineup of unlockable suits.
Thus far,Marvel’s Spider-Man 2fans have made a number of suit requests, and the span several different mediums. Comic readers want to see Arachknight,MCUfans want to play as Zombie Hunter Spider-Man, and those that enjoyed the older films still want to wearThe Amazing Spider-Man 2costume. With some requests forMarvel’s Avengers’ iconic suit appearing as well, the game could end up with a lot of different costumes if Insomniac takes all these suits into consideration. As such, following in the footstepsMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxycould be a good move.

Why Suit Details Would Be a Good Addition To Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
EverySpider-Man fanhas their favorite costume, and Insomniac did an excellent job of showing love for a wide range of outfits in the first two games. In the sequel, it should take things one step further, adding in the suit details section fromMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. With Redditors like SuperAlloyBerserker already suggesting the feature, there is clearly interest in such an addition.
Not nearly as complex as adding new swinging mechanics orwall combat toMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, the suit details page would allow gamers to see when the suit first appeared and who created it. Not only would it be a cool homage to the artists that came up with Spidey’s many unique looks, but it would allow gamers who are particularly fond of a costume to read up on its origins outside the game.
Aside from being a way to credit the various creative teams that have contributed toSpidey’s long history, the suit details section could add some personality like the one inMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxydoes. As seen in the image above, Peter Quill can be seen commenting on the costume players are looking at, giving some insight into why it was worn and how he feels about a particular look. This would suit Peter Parker and Miles Morales well, as both would surely have some fun stories to tell or commentary to share about their various costumes.
This suit commentary could become extra fun if a recent rumor aboutMarvel’s Spider-Man 2proves true. According to the rumor in question,each costume in the sequel will be getting a Symbiote variant. While this is cool enough on its own, Insomniac could make the black suits even more special by changing the suit commentary provided by Miles and Peter. Since the Symbiote makes its wearer more aggressive, the descriptions could reflect that, with the wall-crawlers making some harsher comments about the costumes and the characters they fought while wearing them.
While there are plenty of solid features inMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxythat Insomniac Games could take inspiration from, these suit details are a small but meaningful addition that would be great to see. Whether they give players a laugh through their descriptions or push gamers to read someSpider-Man comicsby providing a source, there would be no downside to such a mechanic.
