When it comes to modding video games, fans have been known to be quite creative withMarvel’s Spider-Man, and one player’s contribution brings new life to a familiar face. This particular addition welcomes Willem Dafoe’s Norman Osborn toMarvel’s Spider-Man, reprising his role from the originalSpider-Mantrilogy, released in 2002.
This isn’t the first time a dedicated player has made an attempt to add something new to the game using mods, as past examples include additions such as the Ultimate Suit Mod which allowed a playerto recreate a comic book panel inMarvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. Despite the game’s four-year shelf life, the player base continues to find new ways to make it enjoyable for everyone.

Reddit user jjarack created the mod to allow Norman Osborn, played by Willem Dafoe, to return into the Spider-Man universe, suit and all. Responses to the post seemed overly positive, with some quoting a few of his memorable lines while others commented on how accurate the visualization was.
As fans wait onMarvel’s Spider-Man 2’s release in 2023, fans of the webbed wonder have taken advantage of the first installment’s PC version, adding flare and personalized touches to draw players in and return to the game after it’s 2018 debut on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This mod unites both old players and new ones with fans of the originalSpider-Mantrilogy, which Willem Dafoe starred as Norman Osborn, father of Harry, before reprising his role inSpider-Man: No Way Homenearly two decades later.
