Wave is a Pool 3 card inMarvel Snapwith an On Reveal ability that sets the costs of the cards in both players' hands to four on the next turn. This ability can be used to facilitate several powerful play patterns, and indeed Wave is featured in some of the game’s best decks. Details on those decks can be found in this guide, and all of them make very good use ofMarvel Snap’s Wave.

Death

9

Wave is extremely powerful when played alongsideMarvel Snap’s She-Hulkand Death, as their inherent cost-reduction is applied after Wave’s effect. This means that She-Hulk costs just two energy on turn six if Wave has been played alone on turn five, allowing fans to deploy something like Aero or Leader (which will cost four) in addition to She-Hulk. Furthermore, Death will cost zero if four cards have been destroyed on preceding turns, creating even more potential for a huge final turn.

Wave has one job in this deck, and that is to getMarvel Snap’s Galactusinto play on turn four. While this may seem like a small role, it is very important for this deck to put Galactus onto the board ahead of schedule. In fact, that play pattern is so important that the deck features a second way to execute it (Electro), and fans may even want to consider running Psylocke in order to provide yet another avenue toward an early Galactus.

Magneto

As with the previously-detailed Galactus deck, this list looks to use Wave to get a powerful card onto the board ahead of schedule, and she once again forms a duo with Electro. Notably, this deck skews towardMarvel Snap’s On Reveal effects, and players can use Odin to get a second trigger out of cards like Leader and Doctor Doom if they were played early. Fans can also use Odin to retrigger Wave, giving them the ability to deploy a six-cost card on turns four, five, and six.
