TheMario Kartseries has been around for a long time, and over that period of time, it has become one of Nintendo’s best-selling franchises. With many installments in theMario Kartseries, the number of courses available for players to race across is long. Recently, a pair of gamers decided to remake one of these classic tracks in another popular game,Minecraft.
Taking to Reddit, a user known as ScurrMinatorYT shared a video of a recent creation they had made inMinecraftbased on theMario Kartseries. In particular, they had decided to recreate Mushroom Gorge fromMario Kart Wii. With the help of a friend, Dizzylake, the Reddit user managed to remake the entire classic track inside aMinecraft world, and the results did not disappoint.

In a one-minute and five-second video, ScurrMinatorYT took gamers on a tour of their recreation of Mushroom Gorge fromMario Kart Wii. The Reddit user and their friend, Dizzylake, had impressively captured many details that made the original track famous. Some highlights included the many giant mushrooms sprouting around the course. Along with these mushrooms, the video revealed that the gamers had managed to recreate the large cave seen on the racetrack, complete with many beautifully colored blocks. In addition, ScurrMinatorYT revealed that their remake of Mushroom Gorge could be used for actual ice boat races inMinecraftas they had retextured ice to make it looks like a dirt road.
Since posting this incredible remake of Mushroom Gorge on Reddit, many members of theMinecraftcommunity have taken notice. In fact, the post has already managed to gain several thousand upvotes on the platform. Among the comments, many gamers complimented the builders on their hard work, with one gamer saying it must have taken a long time to complete the project. In addition, ScurrMinatorYT provided a download code for the course for those wanting to try it out. However, they noted that it was only playable for theBedrock Edition ofMinecraft.
Interestingly, this is not the only recent news regarding Mushroom Gorge. In addition to this playable ice boat racetrack inMinecraft,Mushroom Gorge was recently added toMario Kart 8 Deluxe. As part of the second wave of the Booster Course Pass DLC, it was bundled with seven other courses from otherMario Kartinstallments.
While this recreation of Mushroom Gorge by ScurrMinatorYT and Dizzylake is doubtlessly impressive, it is not the onlyMario Kartcourse to be remade inMinecraft. A few months ago, another talentedgamer created Coconut Mall, another classic track fromMario Kart Wii, with escalators and palm trees. It will be interesting to see if creators like ScurrMinatorYT decide to make even more courses fromMario Kart Wiior any other installments in the racing series.
