My Hero One’s Justice 2is almost here. While avidMy Hero Academiaenthusiasts are already excited forMy Hero One’s Justice 2’s full roster so far,a new character trailer from Bandai Namco has generated more hype by both introducing new cast members and further featuring other fighters that have already been introduced.

After avillain-centered trailer featuring antagonists like Overhaul and Tomura Shigaraki,My Hero One’s Justice 2returns its focus to some ofMy Hero Academia’s newest heroes. In the series, superheroes train to utilize powers called Quirks. With this latest trailer, the developer showed off new fight animations and renderings of the quirks for both the new characters and three of the series' Pro Heroes: Sir Nighteye, Gang Orca, and Fat Gum.

Bandai Namco revealed thatSeiji Shishikura and Camie Utsushimi would be available to play in-game. As voice lines from the characters played, the trailer showed off Seiji’s Meatball Quirk, which grants him the ability to shape and mold flesh, and Camie’s Glamour quirk, which creates illusions in a puff of smoke. While other characters like Sir Nighteye and Fat Gum were visible in previousMy Hero One’s Justice 2trailers, this trailer prominently featured the three cast members and their Quirks in a similar manner.

The choice of characters featured in Bandai Namco’s latest trailer come as no surprise. All five fighters debuted inMy Hero Academia’sthird and fourth seasons, which this game draws on for source material. Moreover, the trailer’s presentation of the featured fighters smartly imbues more personality and visual flair into the characters, allowing Bandai Namco to appeal to existing fans of the runaway hit while also expanding on the roster’s various traits and powers for those who might be less familiar with the manga or the anime.

Ultimately, fans will not have to wait long to see ifMy Hero One’s Justice 2lives up to the hype. However, with both an expanded roster and new gameplay mechanics (like an addition that willallow sidekick characters to use the popular Plus Ultra attacks), the fighting game definitely looks visually impressive and promising for experts and newcomers alike.
