MultiVersusis a fighting game that sees multiple characters from across Warner Bros. IPs fight it out similarly toSuper Smash Bros. Since the release ofSuper Smash,multiple games have tried to recreate the successful formula, includingBrawlhallaandNickelodoen All-Star Brawlto varying success.MultiVersusis the latest platform fighting game, drawing interest from fans considering how many IPs Warner Media is in control of and can use within the game. DC Superheroes, Finn and Jake fromAdventure Time, and Ultra Instinct Shaggy make up some of the game’s varied roster so far.
This past weekend,MultiVersus launcheda closed alpha for fans to play in anticipation of the open beta arriving this July and players have already been trying to figure out what additional characters will be added to the roster. Recently,MultiVersusdid reveal a few new additions to its lineup. So far, characters have been revealed in trailers and other official releases. However, now a bunch of new fighters may have been revealed through the game’s files.

The alleged new additions to the roster have been compiled in a post on Reddit, and some of the supposed fighters may be surprising to fans. Pickle Rick is one of the characters that has allegedly leaked, marking for anothermeme character being added alongside Ultra Instinct Shaggy. Also, LeBron James may be making his way into the game, which would make some sense due to the basketball player’s inclusion inSpace Jam: A New Legacy.
While LeBron and Pickle Rick have been revealed through character leaks, some other cameos have been shown in theMultiVersus’taunt files. The Joker, Black Adam, and Godzilla are but a few names that are in the taunt list. While it would be difficult to include Godzilla as a playable character, it would make sense for the kaiju to appear in some form. The Joker and Black Adam could easily be playable characters, and have already appeared in other fighting games likeInjustice.
While none of these rumors have been officially confirmed yet, it does seem likely that both Rick and Morty will appear in the game at least, as currently Mr. Meeseeks appears inMultiVersus’tutorial. It is likely that fans will see some of these characters confirmed in the future. However, not everyMultiVersusreveal has been perfectly received so far, as the Iron Giant’s showingdisappointed fans of theIron Giantfilm.
