Funko Pop figure collectors are about to get a wave of newPokemonto choose from. Thursday afternoon, Funko revealed its plans for four morePokemonPop figures, adding to the surprisingly thinPokemoncollection already available. What’s perhaps most surprising is that the new wave ofPokemonfigures features no starters. Instead, Funko chose four familiar and popular other Pokemon. The new Funko PopPokemonfigures will be Pichu, Mewtwo, Vulpix, and Mr. Mime.
All four newPokemonFunko Pop figuresare already available to pre-order at certain retailers, with a planned release date in April 2020. Like other Funko Pop figures, the newPokemontoys will be available for $10.99 each.

There’s only been one previous wave of Funko PopPokemonfigures before today’s announcement, though it included five of the most popular Pokemon out there, like Pikachu, Eevee, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. That’s the original three starter Pokemon fromPokemon Red,Blue, andGreen, as well as the starters for2018’sPokemon Let’s Gogames.
There’s no word on whether Funko is working on any additionalFunko Pop figures forPokemon. There are certain to be fans who’d love to have their favorites in Funko Pop form, but considering there are hundreds ofPokemon,Funko may not be prioritizing the brand. It could be that The Pokemon Company is prioritizing its own various merchandise, too. Still, given that the first wave ofPokemonFunkos came out in 2018, it may be some time before another wave is officially confirmed.
In addition to the newPokemonFunko Pops, Funko also announced a new wave of Funko figures and collectibles for the upcomingBirds of Preymovie. They include eight new Funko figures, four of which are for Harley Quinn in various costumes. There are also two Black Mask Funko figures, though neither of them actually feature the villain in his iconic black mask. The remaining Funkos are for Huntress and Black Canary. Apparently Funko decided that Renee Montoya and Cassandra Cain aren’t important enough characters to deserve their own figures.
Pokemonfans can pre-order the newPokemonFunko Pop figures now, with the toys officially releasing in April.
