It’s been over three months sincePokemon Scarlet and Violetwere first shown to the world, and while not too much was given away, the reveal of the new starters definitely drew Pokemon fans in.Fuecoco, Sprigatito, and Quaxlyall garnered tons of attention on social media, with fan art of them emerging soon thereafter.
Of course, fan art, rumors, and speculation will only get fans so far. Many have been dying to hear more official news onPokemon Scarlet and Violet, with many expecting to do so in June. However, given this will only be its second trailer, it’s probably best to temper expectations. Starter evolutions and arelease date forPokemon Scarlet and Violetare not impossible, but since those are some of the hottest topics, it would make sense if Game Freak and Nintendo held back that info a little while longer. Instead, it’s more likely to be similar to the first one, showing off the region, perhaps some battles, Pokemon in the game, and more than likely, at least some new Pokemon coming toScarlet and Violet.
That’s the most exciting part, of course, as every new region introduces a ton of new Pokemon. Some regions have introduced 100+, while others have released about 70 or so. It remains to be seenhow many new Pokemon are added in this new generation, but chances are, fans will know about more of them tomorrow.
One thingPokemon Scarlet and Violetfans want to know, but is a 50/50 shot of being there, is the new Gimmick. The past few generations have introduced new gimmicks like Mega Evolution, Ultra Beasts, Dynamaxing/Gigantamaxing, and so on.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetrumors suggest type-changing will be the gimmick, and if so, that’ll be interesting to see in action. Either way, no matter what is there, fans will be glad to learn more about the upcoming gen.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violetare scheduled to release in late 2022 on Nintendo Switch.
