What’s more, every now and then, there comes an episode that is so good that it is etched in the memories of the fans and spoken about for weeks, if not months and, in some cases, even years. With the arc now ij its climax, fans are expecting great things from the upcoming episodes andOne Pieceepisode 1071 certainly looks like it is going to deliver something of that sort and is going to be a legendary experience for the fans.
The Contents Of One Piece Episode 1071
TheOne Pieceanime is currently covering the Onigashima War and fans have seen most of the fights wrap up already. Most recently, the fight between Big Momand the Worst Generationduo of Trafalgar Law and Eustass Kid finally wrapped up. This meant that all attention would then shift to the fight between Luffy and Kaido and, given that all the other big fights got such special treatment, the fight between Luffy and Kaido would certainly receive it as well. Fans who have read the manga know that this fight is incredibly special. It has exhilarating action and, above all, it also features the greatest power-up inOne Piece,Gear 5.
Gear 5 is iconic in more ways than one. In fact, it is the episode that every fan ofOne Piecewould want to be handled with the most care, given that this transformation represents not just great power within Luffy, but is also the epitome of his entire character.
Gear 5 is special and Oda accomplished quite a lot with this form in chapter 1044. He plunged the fans into depths of despair following the announcement that Luffy lost the battle and had died and, thereafter, gave them great hope as he rose as the Warrior of Liberation instead.Gear 5 encompasses everything great about Luffyas he becomes a man who spreads laughter and joy to wherever he goes. It is far more than just a powerful transformation with big punches and simply a perfect blend for the character of Luffy.
From his small jokes to his iconic laugh and, when the need arises, powerful punches,Gear 5 has it alland that is precisely why this transformation needed to be done to perfection in the anime. Thankfully, by the looks of it, the Gear 5 episode, which will be the anime adaptation ofOne Piecechapter 1044, is looking like it’s going to be in great hands.
The Director Of The Episode
MostOne Piecefans wanted a special person to direct the Gear 5 episode, and that is Megumi Ishitani. She has worked on some of the legendary episodes in One Piece that are being talked about even years after their production. However, Ishitani won’t be the director forOne Pieceepisode 1071. While that may worry some fans, they can rest assured that this episode is going to be incredible nonetheless as it is being directed by another legendary director, Tatsuya Nagamine. Fans ofOne Pieceshould be unfamiliar with this name. Tatsuya Nagamine is the person who ended up becoming one of the three series directors ofOne Piecefrom episode 892, which marked the beginning of the Wano arc.
Nagamine has worked quite a lot onOne Piecebefore. He was the man responsible for directingOne PieceFilm: Z and fans who tend to watch other Shonen would also recognize him from his work as director on Dragon Ball Super Broly. He has also directed quite a few episodes in the Wano arc, and some of them have surely been a hit among the fans, while others have received mixed reactions. For instance, his debut of Wano, episode 892, was absolutely phenomenal, and, at the same time, his direction in the episode where Zoro fought Kamazo was stellar as well. Yet, at the same time, there are some episodes where the direction just felt subpar and the pacing wasn’t all that great.

However, that should not be compared toOne Pieceepisode 1071. This episode has been in production for quite a long time and, thus, a comparison to one of the regular episodes of One Piece would simply not be fair. Nagamine has most certainly been working on this episode for quite a long time and will do his best to do it justice. His biggest strengths when it comes to direction are his impeccable eye for bringing out the best colors and, at the same time, a penchant for stellar action storyboarding.
At the same time, Nagamine does some brilliant camera work, which often features quite a lot of zoom-ins and zoom-outs, and fans will absolutely see that in the anime adaptation of chapter 1044 ofOne Piece. While he has struggled with pacing in theOne Pieceanime, the fact that this episode will have had months upon months to be produced would mean that this issue would be ironed out.
The Super Animators On The Team
Directors on aOne Pieceepisode are usually the ones responsible for bringing in powerful animators to help them out. These can be In Staff animators, who work for the same studio or their friends and Nagamine certainly has quite a few that will end up making an appearance onOne Pieceepisode 1071. In fact, the episode has already been rumored to have some super animators on it as well, meaningLuffy’s fight against Kaidowill most certainly feature some of the most incredible animation that fans have seen.
Among those that fans might be familiar with already is Takashi Kojima, who has already worked on quite a few episodes ofOne Pieceand delivered stellar animation from start to finish. Along with him, there are some others, such as Takeshi Maenami, who will also be present on this episode. When speaking of the super animators, one name that fans might be familiar with is Bahi JD. This incredible animator has worked on some of the very best episodes ofOne Piece, such as the first fight between Luffy and Kaido and even, more recently, episode 1015. Bahi JD is certainly not the only legendary animator on the episode who is rumored to make an appearance.
Fans also know that Weilin Zhang, a legendary young animator who has previously worked on shows such as the Fate series and even Jujutsu Kaisen, is going to be involved. Shinya Ohira, another legendary name is also being thrown into the mix, and everything looks like it is going to be impeccable. And of course, Akihiro Ota, who worked wonders on the clash between Sanji and Queen is also returning. In a massive shock, the oldOne Pieceanimator, Ryo Onishi is also rumored to be making a return. However, it is unclear if these Animators are all onOne Pieceepisode 1071 or if some of them are on Episode 1072.
Fans have every right to be overly excited for this episode as it has been teased as one of the very best in the entire series so far. There are also quite a few other big names that have not been revealed just yet and, everyone’s effort, together, under the great direction of Tatsuya nagamina wood bringOne Piecechapter 1044 to life.One pieceepisode 1071 is certainly going down in the books as one of the very best in the story and fans are already excited for it, as they should be.
