Outridersis loaded with various stats, attributes, and perks that players can overlook. These little details can be vital with the customization and gaining an upper hand with combat. One stat, in particular, that many players seem to not know about inOutridersis “Resistance Piercing.” This is actually a very important stat to know about and learning what it actually does and how to use it can make all the difference.
The main thing to know about Resistance Piercing is that it is synonymous with armor-piercing with a few differences. Any player that’s well-versed with a shooter will know that armor-piercing is essentially about tearing through certain protective gear in various degrees. Of course, this allcenters around firearms and certain ammunitionthat’s being used. When it comes to Resistance Piercing, this doesn’t really focus on guns, but rather skill trees. So, when an enemy uses particular non-physical attacks or skills, the Resistance Piercing will reduce that kind of incoming damage.

So, the basic formula to abide by is that if a player encounters an enemy that has 50% Resistance Piercing, and a player has 30%, then the enemy will only take 20% damage. This is the standard equation to go by when encountering elite enemy types later in the game. With the current update ofOutriders, Resistance Piercing seems to correspond with all skills that can be used in the tree. There doesn’t seem to be an enemy type that requires a special ore or element that affects its Resistance Piercing stat.
Therefore, Resistance Piercing affects all skill and non-physical attacks across the board. Resistance Piercing is essentially a tool that supports Anomaly Power. Focusing on Anomaly Power is a good starting point to build up class skills, especially for players that arepartial to melee attacks and playing with friends. After Anomaly Power starts increasing, then upgrading Resistance Piercing will act as a nice buffer with incoming skill attacks from higher-tier enemies. Building up a hearty Anomaly Power and Resistance Piercing stat will make a player’s character a tank that can dish out and receive skill damage of all types.
During later in the campaign, players will be fighting all manners of beastly bosses that can absorb all kinds of damage. This is mainly due to the fact that they will have much higher Resistance Piercing skill levels. During the heat of the moment, Resistance Piercing levels can easily be overlooked during combat. Players that like using their skills regularly will need to keep an eye on the enemy’s Resistance Piercing level later in the game. Lastly, take the time and grind for gear that has higher Anomaly Power and Resistance Piercingbefore venturing into higher world-tier missions.
