Redditor Calm-Key2837 shared their discovery on r/Overwatch, posting their in-game footage of Bastion’s repair arm with the Rikimaru Ramen Legendary skin equipped. The repair arm happens to be shaped like a plastic fork, which lines up with the instant ramen cup noodle-themed design. While Bastion no longer uses the repair arm in the game (his classic Self-Repair ability was removed by Blizzard when itreworked the character forOverwatch 2), the feature is still used in his waving gesture, showing that the team really paid a lot of attention to detail here.

What Overwatch 2 Players Think of Bastion’s Rikimaru Ramen Skin

The Rikimaru Ramen skin for Bastionwas introduced inOverwatch 2Season 9in February 2024, and while it looks good, some players in the Reddit comments had some sharp words to say about the choice. Most of the new skins introduced at the start of the season followed an eldritch horror theme that Blizzard loves evoking in its games, but the Bastion design didn’t follow this trend for whatever reason. While some found the cup noodles concept cute, others were also slightly confused by it, partly because Bastion no longer uses the repair arm in his skill set as well.

Meanwhile, Blizzard isn’t done making changes after introducing a major overhaul this season. The team recently revealed that some notable changes are coming to amidseasonOverwatch 2update, including the reduction of the new DPS passive which reduces their target’s healing received, as well as buffs coming to a number of specific heroes. This development shows that the game is in a constant state of flux and experimentation, and whether these changes are good for its long-term viability is yet to be seen.
