The multiplayer hero shooterOverwatchis no stranger to adding new costumes for players to customize its various characters. The game has also been known to release different seasonal and holiday-themed costumes for the cast, including Halloween.
For example, a notableOverwatchHalloween-themed costume is the mad scientist costume for Junkrat called Dr. Junkenstein, evoking the fictional character Dr. Victor Frankenstein. To celebrate the holiday, the officialOverwatchTwitter recently posted images of fiveOverwatchcharacters in their new Halloween Terror costumes. Not only that, but the images were released as posters, or “Terror Posters,” showing off the characters in their new Halloween costumes and the artists who designed the posters.

The first tweet has an image of theOverwatchhero Brigittewho appears as a vampire slayer, and the tweet reads, “She came to slay.” The poster itself is titledBrigitte The Vampire Slayer, starring Brigitte herself and is directed by Halfred Glitchbot, evoking the famous filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock. The image of Brigitte was designed by the Twitter user @SEN1227.
The second tweet has a poster of theOverwatchhero Echowith a more vampiric design that says “Fang-tastic.” It even has a small shot of her about to feast on a sleeping female omnic. The poster is titledDrechula, evoking the famous fictional vampire Dracula from Bram Stoker’s novel, and stars Mina Liao and is directed by Halfred Glitchbot. The Halloween poster for Echo is designed by the Twitter user @javi_khoso.
The third image is a poster for the roboticOverwatchcharacter Bastion, who appears as a haunting figure carrying a large green-glowing lantern. The poster is titledThe Coffin Calls, starring Bastion and Torbjorn Lindholm, and the post comes with the caption that says, “Back from the grave.” The image is made by the Twitter user @Kinda_Creative.
The fourth tweet has a poster of the popularOverwatchhero Reinhardtappearing as an undead warrior alongside other skeletal warriors with the post saying “Smashing.” The film poster he appears in is calledUndead Crusaders, and it is once again directed by Halfred Glitchbot. The fifth poster features theOverwatchhero Lucio, which says, “These tunes will haunt you.” In the image, Lucio appears as a DJ satyr, and the poster is calledTerrorwave, which is more of a promotional music poster than a movie poster like the others. The Halloween poster for Lucio is designed by the Twitter user @Monarchscomic. The reception to theOverwatchHalloween posters has been a mixture of positive and humorous responses from commenters, with many impressed by the fans' art.
