TraversingPalworld’smap can get tedious due to its size, but thankfully, some Pals can be used as mounts to make traveling from point to point faster. Exploring the archipelago becomes even easier once you put saddles on some winged Pals.

Once you get the ability tocatch and ride your first flying Pal, you’ll quickly notice that they aren’t very fast. This is because flight speed differs from one Pal to another. If you want to soar through the skies as fast as possible, consider catching the following Pals the next time you enterPalworld.

Vanwyrm

While Nitewing is likely to be the first flying mount for many players,Vanwyrmis going to be the first direct upgrade to it in terms of speed. These Fire-type Pals are only marginally faster than a Nitewing, but the difference is still noticeable. Plus, they are very strong in combat, especially against Ice and Grass-type Pals.

Early on, you can findVanwyrms in the Bamboo Groveand Deep Bamboo Thicket regions west of the Plateau of Beginnings. However, you’ll need to be Lv. 21 to craft the saddles for them.

Beakon

Once you reach Lv. 34, you should try to get aBeakonif you aren’t satisfied with Vanwyrm’s flight speed. You’ll notice that these Electric Pals are much quicker if you fly while holding down the Sprint button, making them ideal for long-distance traveling. Beakons are also great if you’re looking for a Pal that can generate electricity for your base.

However, Beakons are somewhat difficult to catch. you’re able to find them in the arid region in the northwestern corner of the map. If that place feels too far for you, you can try hatching Electric Eggs or catching the Alpha Beakon in the Deep Bamboo Thicket instead.

Helzephyr

Helzephyrs are nocturnal Pals that are comparable to Beakons, Ragnahawks, and Suzakus when it comes to speed. They may not be the absolute fastest, but they come in very handy in a scuffle thanks to their ability to infuse their riders' attacks with the Dark element. If you’re ever going to hunt down any Neutral-type Pals, then bringing aHelzephyras your mount is the way to go.

You can encounterHelzephyrs around Hypocrite Hillon the Moonless Shore during nighttime. Their glowing plumes make them very easy to spot at a distance. Bring

Jetragon

As expected, the legendaryJetragonis the fastest flying mount inPalworld. With a body resembling a mix betweenPokemon’sLatios andMonster Hunter’sValstrax, this jet-propelled dragon will send you soaring through the archipelago in record time. It uses both Electric and Dragon elements in combat, making it effective against Water and Neutral.

Jetragon is a Lv. 50 boss monster that you can find only on Mount Obsidian. Bring heat-resistant armor to survive the climate and the best weapons and Pals you can find if you want to challenge this beast.
