Palworldis a video game that involves capturing, training, and battling creatures known as ‘Pals’. These creatures are fun to collect and are a great help to players, assisting them in a variety of ways. Pals can be put to work to help players achieve tasks such as mining and farming. They can be engaged in battles. They can also be bred, resulting in new generations with different traits.
These Pals range from cute, to quirky, to sometimes downright strange. They come in all shapes and sizes, from the immense Wumpo to the miniscule Jolthog. This article will discuss some of the smallest Pals in the game, along with the unique attributes they can bring to a player’s team.
9Felbat
Same Size As Players
Similar in stature to players, the Dark-typeFelbatcan be a helpful addition to a player’s team. While fighting together, its Partner Skill ‘Life Steal’ enables it to absorb some of the damage it takes, restoring both Felbat’s and the player’s HP. This ability means players with Felbat on their side stand in good stead against tough opponents.
In addition to its impressive combat abilities, Felbat has one of the highest medicine production stats in the game, making it easier to cure Pals who fall ill.
8Bushi
Slightly Smaller Than Players
One of the larger Pals relative to the others on this list,Bushi has the second-highest attack powerof all the Fire element Pals, making it a great bet for players wanting to improve their team’s power. It is also one of the few Pals who can wield most elements.
Bushiis fantastic when fighting against Grass and Ice element Pals due to its status as a Fire element Pal. Even better, Bushi possessesgreat lumbering skills, which definitely come in useful for a variety of purposes, like chopping trees.
7Depresso
Half The Size Of Players
This Pal’s glum expression has endeared it to many players and established it as a fan favorite.Depressois surprisingly useful for mining when players are starting out, as it is one of the few mining Pals in the lower ranges of the Paldeck. This Pal is also decent in combat, especially once its Partner Skill, ‘Caffeine Inoculation,’ is activated. This skill involves Depresso chugging an absurd number of energy drinks, resulting in increased speed.
Depresso is slightly weaker than most other Pals, taking 1.2x damage from enemy attacks. As a Dark element Pal, it is weak to attacks from Dragon element Pals, yet stronger against Neutral element Pals. Players should keep this in mind next time they enter a battle with their Depresso.
6Foxparks
A Fiery Little Fox
As a fire element Pal,the timid Foxparksis strong against Grass element Pals but weak to Water types. It should come as no surprise thatFoxparksis best suited to kindling: the ability to power fire stations, which players can use to cook food.
Foxparks' Partner Skill ‘Huggy Fire’ turns it into a flamethrower which can severely damage opponents. Foxparks may be small, but it is certainly mighty.
5Tanzee
A Sweet Little Monkey
The Grass-typeTanzee resembles a small monkeyin both looks and characteristics. Its huge variety of work skills — planting, handiwork, lumbering, transporting, and gathering — make it an excellent addition to any player’s Paldeck.
Tanzee’s Partner Skill ‘Cheery Rifle’ allows it to mercilessly fire a rifle at its enemies, which can come in handy during combat. Unlike Lifmunk,Tanzeewill move independently of the player, which can be beneficial. Unfortunately, the AI which powers Tanzee’s attacks can be hit-and-miss. Also, bear in mind that its partner skill is only unlockable once Tanzee reaches Level 12.
4Jolthog
Just As Tiny As A Real-Life Hedgehog
Theseadorable hedgehog-like Palscan be surprisingly effective in combat, despite their diminutive stature. Jolthog’s attack consists of a powerful electric shock which can be over 10 million volts. If a Jolthog is thrown, it can deal even more damage than a weapon.
Unfortunately,Jolthogis not a particularly useful Pal, unless players are in need of a power supply for their base. If that’s the case, Jolthog’s penchant for generating electricity comes in handy.
3Jolthog Cryst
Another Hedgehog-Sized Pal
As the name suggests, Jolthog Cryst is the icy counterpart of Jolthog. With a slightly higher Defense stat, this Pal may be a better option for battles. Its ability to explode (thanks to its Partner Skill ‘Cold Bomb’) also makes it well-suited to combat. This ability allowsJolthog Crystto release cold air stored in its body, creating a blast which is cold enough to freeze its surroundings and pierce through its attackers.
As Jolthog Cryst can not be found in the Palpagos Islands, players will only find one when it is being attacked or held hostage by a Faction or apack of Direhowls.
2Lifmunk
An Adorable Little Chipmunk
Thesesweet rodent-like Palsare as adorable as they are tiny, but they can be very useful, particularly for new players. They offer strong Lumbering skills and the Partner Skill ‘Lifmunk Recoil,’ where it sits atop the player’s head and fires a gun at enemies. They are also quite common Pals, making them easy to find… if players can catch them.
Lifmunk’s firepower, in particular, is great. Although it doesn’t deal much damage per hit, it lasts for a generous amount of time. This high level of stamina can be a great help in long periods of combat.
