The promotional period runs until 10 AM PT on March 23, with 2K framing its offer as a perfect way for fans to retread or familiarize themselves with the chaotic events leading up to 2022’sTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, a standalone sequel that Steam users can currently grab for $29.99, or half off its full retail price. Given the absolute nature of the latestTiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keepdiscount, taking advantage of this deal doesn’t even require linking a debit card with Steam, as the game will instantly be added to a connected account without a checkout screen, for free and forever.
Assault on Dragon Keep’ssequel,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, was one of twoBorderlandsspinoffs that 2K released in 2022, alongside graphic adventureNew Tales from the Borderlands. Seeing how the latest mainline installment in the hit franchise will be pushing five come September 2023, some fans have already been wonderinghow much longer they will have to wait forBorderlands 4.
And while Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford already hinted that the highly anticipated game is in the works in mid-2021, the studio also appears to be planning more adventures starring Tiny Tina. Pitchford evenreferred toTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsas a “franchise"in September 2022, stating that the game surpassed all of the company’s critical and commercial expectations.
The standalone version ofTiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keepwasn’t as universally acclaimed as the original DLC. However, a lot of its negative player reviews on Steam seem to be motivated by the fact that the game’s regular $10 price doesn’t seem worth it relative to how often the GOTY edition ofBorderlands 2— which includes the expansion — goes on sale.
