Summary
An artist who lovesPokemonhas recently created a new design: a Grass-type Regi. Regi Pokemon are often featured in fan art, be it by creating new variants of these creatures, fusing them with each other, orgiving the Regi a unique Paradox form, and this latest take on the concept is quite fresh, to say the least.
Known as the “legendary giants,” the Regi is a special kind of legendary Pokemon that appeared in many games from the franchise, starting with Regice, Registeel, and Regirock in the third generation. These rare creatures can be found in the regions of Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Galar. The Regi last appeared inPokemon Sword and Shield, and have a few important characteristics, such as always having seven eyes, which are spread out in different patterns, a round golem-like structure, and being of a single type.

Now,Pokemonfan and artist JJonnie has decided to give this classic kind of monster a new spin with a Grass-Type Regi. Called Regiflora, the Pokemon looks like a vase filled with plants. Instead of arms, Regiflora has some flower branches, with some roses and daisies coming out of it. Like all other Regi, it has a round shape and seven eyes. This new design comes in both normal and shiny forms, with the second one being brown and resembling an Autumn-like version of the creature. Aside from designing new looks, JJonnie gave Regiflora a unique ability called Flourish. By using this ability, each consecutive Grass-type attack made by the creature will increase its damage by 1.1x until the end of the fight or if the Pokemon is exchanged.
JJonnie is a prolific creator ofPokemonfan art. In the last two weeks alone, they have created fan art of a Fire-type Lucario, a Poison-type Spoink, a Bug-type Pikachu, a Ghost-type Sudowoodo, anda Water-type Garchomp, for instance. The alternative Garchomp, named Sharchomp, is a fun take on the original design, as it turns the Pokemon into a shark while maintaining some of its overall shape and colors.
Proof of the popularity of the legendary Regi Pokemon is that this is not the first time that one of them has been featured in fan art. A few months ago, another artist created a Flying-Type Regi. In this case, the Pokemon looked like a white bird with colorful wings and, curiously, only had six eyes instead of the usual seven.
