Pokemon GO’s Water Festival Bonuses
For the duration of the Water Festival,Pokemon GOplayers will also benefit from double Candy from Egg hatches, bonus XL Candy from Eggs, and Rainy Lure Modules lasting two hours. What’s more, the Water Festival featuresaPokemon GOGlobal Challenge: if players worldwide can catch 600,000,000 Water-types before the event’s end, they’ll earn twice as much Candy from catches for the rest of the Water Festival. On top of that, the Water Festival adds a Water Festival Scarf to the in-game cosmetic shop and features Timed Research that’ll supply XP, Stardust, Gyarados Mega Energy, and encounters with Dewpider and Lapras.
Pokemon GOadded the Poni Island Special Research just before the Water Festival, meaning fans already have a good reason to playPokemon GOover the course of the festival. Nevertheless, the opportunity to collect new Pokemonover the course of the Water Festivalis exciting. There’s no word yet on whatPokemon GOseason will follow the Season of Alola, and it may be far less heavy on Pokemon additions than Alola, so fans will have to enjoy Dewpider and Araquanid’s addition while it lasts. All in all, the Water Festival looks like a prime opportunity to gather some Water-types, especially for players who have limited access to them otherwise.
Pokemon GOis available now on Android and iOS devices.
