Zapdos is a dual type Pokemon which leads to some interesting counter strategies for players. The dual Electric- and Flying-type pairing means Zapdos has two weaknesses: Rock- andIce-types. Trainers can take advantage of those weaknesses by bringing some meta-relevant and powerful Pokemon into the battle. Veteran players who have been grinding raids for years at this point will likely have a pretty strong roster all ready to queue up for the battle this week.

Best Zapdos Counters (July 2022)

Players who don’t have these counter options lined up and ready to do can still succeed by entering the Battle Raid with enough allies and sticking to their strengths. Fielding a roster full of the best Rock- and Ice-types available and spending a bit ofStardust, TMs, and Candyshould still be enough to prepare players for the fight and walk away with a victory. Players certainly don’t want to waste any Battle Raid Passes on failed attempts, so be sure to be ready, stocked up, and with a group when it’s time to enter the lobby and throw down against this Legendary boss.

That should be just about everything that trainers need to know to prepare for this week’s big Battle Raids. July is still in its opening days and additional details about other upcoming Battle Raid bosses (Legendary and Mega) should arrive in thecoming days of the Season of Go. Be sure to check back in the near future for morePokemon GOstrategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
