Summary
APokemon GOplayer caught a Galarian Zapdos using a regular Poke Ball, something considered impossible by many players. Like the main series of Pokemon games,Pokemon GOplayers have different Poke Ballsto use and catch powerful Pokemon.
Among the harder-to-see critters inPokemon GOare Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. While trainers can find their Kantonian variants in Raids, the only way to see a Galarian Bird is by using the Daily Incense Adventure. With this incense,Pokemon GOplayers increase the spawn of wild Pokemon in their area for 15 minutes. If they’re lucky enough, they’ll find Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres, and add these incredibly rare Pokemon to their records. Many trainers have yet to find the Galarian Bird Trio, and others have been unsuccessful in catching one. OnePokemon GOtrainer was not only lucky enough to get one of these Pokemon, but did so in the most unlikely way possible.
Reddit user Xeno_UwUwU shared a screenshot showing a Galarian Zapdos caught with a regular Poke Ball. With the funny caption “My younger brother is a menace to society,” the image shows a Zapdos with CP 47 and HP 19, which weighs 45.85 kg (101.08 pounds) and is 1.34 m tall (4.39 feet). The most impressive thing about the catch is that it was made with a regular Poke Ball, something quite unlikely given the high flee rate of Galarian Birds. Because of this, a common practice in thePokemon GOcommunity is to use the Master Ball tocatch Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres. Despite the modest CP and HP, it’s worth noting that this Galarian Zapdos knows Ancient Power and Counter, the latter being considered a particularly powerful ability for the Legendary.
The comments showed great surprise at the achievement, and some shared equally amusing stories. One trainer said they got a Galarian Articuno with a Great Ball. Another comment regretted having missed the chance to catch Galarian Articuno and Galarian Zapdos, even though they used a Golden Razz Berry, Ultra Ball, and made an excellent throw. A thirdPokemon GOplayer was very lucky and got a Galarian Zapdos using the auto-catch function of Pokemon GO Plus+. Announced this year,Pokemon GO Plus+ is a devicethat makes it easier forPokemon GOplayers to catch and collect items.
While trainers continue to try their luck at finding and catching the Galarian Bird Trio,Pokemon GOhas started Season 13. Named Timeless Travels, the new season takes players back to the Hisui region. Among the first content announced for the season are the Pokemon GO Tour 2024, the debut of Hisui Samurott inPokemon GO, a new ticket, and a new character.
