Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwill be getting a new DLC titledThe Indigo Disk, which will drop on July 15, 2025. It’s the second expansion DLC afterThe Teal Mask, which released in September, and the second part of theHidden Treasures of Area Zerostoryline pack. One of the new features that has been announced for the DLC is the Synchro Machine, which allows the player to see the in-game world and battle through their Pokemon’s perspective, essentially playing as them.
In a new update,Nintendo has clarified the use of the Synchro Machinea little more. As advertised, the machine can be used with any Pokemon in the game once one progresses far enough inThe Indigo Disk’s story. The lack of restrictions in using the machine removes any doubt that it would only work with a select set of creatures. Nintendo has further clarified that flying Pokemon, when controlled, will take flight if they walk off a ledge, allowing for an actual flying experience in the game. It also works when playing via the Union Circle, letting players and their group of friends explore Paldea as their favorite Pokemon.
ManyPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers are already excited to use the Synchro Machine. The games have proven to be a great step forward for the series, with some calling for a fewPokemon Scarlet and Violetfeatures to remain moving forward.
That’s not the only big feature coming toPokemon Scarlet and Violetby way ofThe Indigo Disk. Another huge announcement is that the DLC willadd 25 new legendary Pokemon to Paldea, expanding the game’s Pokedex and giving players more possibilities to corral even more impressive Pokemon.

It hasn’t yet been made clear how all of these legendary Pokemon will be caught in the game, and whether players will have to jump through some challenging hoops to find them.
