Pokemon Scarlet and Violetmark the launch point of the franchise’s ninth generation and bring plenty of new elements to the table, such as 110 new Pokemon, alongside Paradox and regional variants. They are even the first mainline entries to include an open-world setting. Despite such innovations and the impressive sales numbers that followed, the games have been criticized for their numerous graphical and technical errors, becoming the lowest-rated mainlinePokemonentries.

Now a brand-new download code was dropped forPokemon Scarlet and Violet, which will remain valid only until May 21, 2025. The code isTHA12022CHAMP, and by entering it into the games' Mystery Gift menu, found in the Poke Portal, they will be able to easily nab a Shiny Grimmsnarl, with a move set largely based on the one that Notaro used to win last year’s Thai National Championship. Grimmsnarl is easily among the strongest Pokemon in Gen 9, but the games' Shiny drop rate is only 1/4096, and evenGrimmsnarl’s standard variant isn’t a walk in the park to get. But thanks to this download code, what would’ve taken many hours to achieve can now be unlocked in a couple of minutes tops.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Shiny Grimmsnarl Mystery Gift Code
This particular Shiny Grimmsnarl includes a Dark Tera-Type, a Calm nature, very high HP and mobility, and a move set that includes Thunder Wave, Reflect, Light Screen, Spirit Break, and Prankster. Such a move pool is designed mostly for supportive and defensive purposes, allowing it to make the first move slow down its opponents before they can even attack. Finally, it comes inside a Cherish Ball and carries Light Clay. It should be interesting to see how this particular specimen will doduringScarlet and Violet’s Tera Raids.
It’s always nice to see game production companies throw a bone to their player bases, whether it be through DLC, patches, or evenby moments of sheer luckthat occur during randomized portions of their games. It should be fun to see which rare Pokemon/variants are given away for free with download codes in the future, as judging by the recent DLC, it’s clear that Game Freak is not giving up onPokemon Scarlet and Violetyet, despite its mixed reception.
