Rowlet is one of the many starters making its way intoPokemon Scarlet & Violetas part of theIndigo Disk DLC, and fans are quite eager to catch the unique starter in the game. The Alolan starter is well known for its unique type matchup of its final evolution, with Decidueye featuring a Ghost andGrass typing. Decidueye also received its Hisuian form inPokemon Legends: Arceus, and while that’s not available inPokemon Scarlet & Violet, players can still get the original starter and its evolution in theIndigo Disk DLC’s Terrarium region.
How To Unlock Rowlet
Just like Charmander, Rowlet can be found in the Savanna Biome, however, there is a catch. Before players can encounter Rowlet in the area, they need to ensure they have enhanced the diversity of the area. This can be done by donating to the support board from the League Club Room’s PC. Players will need 3,000 BP for this task, so it is crucial to take part insome group questsif players want to expedite the process. While it is totally possible for players to be able to achieve this solely via solo quests, using the Union Circle ensures that players get BP for their entire group together.
Rowlet Location In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
After enhancing the biome’s diversity, all players need to do is head to theSavanna Biomeitself. Unlike some other starters, Rowlet is found pretty much all over the biome, and it is not very difficult to come across it. However, for players looking for a specific location to find Rowlet in the game, theSavanna Plaza can be a good start, since Rowlet does spawn quite a lot in that area.
Unlike the legendaries, this is not a one-time encounter, so even if players accidentally knock one out, they should be able to find another with ease. Usingstatus effects such as Sleep and Paralyzeshould boost the catch rate, but considering that Rowlet is merely around level 60 in this area, players should be careful while using extremely high-level Pokemon.
How To Evolve Rowlet To Dartrix & Decidueye
Rowlet evolves toDartrix at level 17 and Decidueye at level 34. Since Dartrix and Decidueye are not available in the wild, the only way players can get them is by evolving Rowlet. Since Rowlet is already above level 34 when found in the game, players can evolve it to Dartrix by leveling it up once, and then into Decidueye by leveling it up once again.
The best nature for Rowlet is Adamant, which boosts its Attack at the cost of Special Attack stats. Additionally,Water, Grass, and Ghost are the best Tera-types for it.
