Fans can take advantage of a new Mystery Gift code for 20 Battle Points inPokemon SwordandShieldfor their adventures in the series’s Switch debut.
To redeem Mystery Gift codes in-game, players will need to pause and head to the Mystery Gift sub-menu, press “Get a Mystery Gift,” and then enter their codes after choosing the option to use a code or password for the gift.

Players can enter the code SUPEREFF1CACE in the Mystery Gift mode to get the bonus, which is available until March 30th worldwide for bothPokemon SwordandShield. Players can use their Battle Points to get some ofPokemon SwordandShield’s endgame items, includingMints that can change a Pokemon’s Nature and stats, as well as items that can boost their Pokemon’s performance in competitive battles. The currency is a useful one, but doesn’t often come naturally, so players will want to jump on the offer while they can.
Some oflast month’s Mystery Gift codes forSwordandShieldare still active as well. Players can get Bottle Caps and Premier Balls as well as more Battle Points. While new codes release regularly, it’s a good idea to redeem as many available gifts as possible to simplify tasks like Gigantamax Raids and finishing the Regional Pokedex.
Pokemon SwordandShieldare both set to grow with new areas to explore, additional Pokemon to catch and battles to win withthe upcoming Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra expansions. The DLC will be the first time the Pokemon series builds onto existing games with new content, rather than releasing new versions.
The first piece of DLC, The Isle of Armor, is set to release over the summer, and features a legendary, bearlike Pokemon named Urshifu with two unique evolutions based on player choices. The Crown Tundra, set to release in the fall, will introduce players toCalyrex, a legendary Pokemon with a bulbous, plant-inspired designthat has already become meme worthy among fans. Both will also bring a mix of new Pokemon and old favorites intoSwordandShield’s Pokedex, hopefully bringing the games' lineup closer to fans' expectations.
