Ever since Rockstar releasedRed Dead Redemption 2back in late 2018, fans have spun a number of substantial fan theories surrounding the popular open-world adventure. From the eerie existence of the terrifying “Night Folk” to the strange presence of the ethereal ghost train, the game’s myriad of easter eggs allude to some strange reveals, with fans coming together to find answers to some of the world’s biggest mysteries.
It seems the game’s cast isn’t estranged from the speculative nature of theRed Dead Redemptioncommunity either, with a new video posted by MCM Comic Con bringing together Roger Clarke (Arthur Morgan), Benjamin Byron Davis (Dutch Van Der Linde), and Robert Allen Wiethoff (John Marston) to discuss several popular fan theories. The actors clearly have a very strong knowledge of the various speculative ideas, with each actor having a fair amount to say on some of the game’s biggest mysteries.

The first theory presented in the video is that John Marston is in Purgatory, withthe notorious Strange Manacting as God. Although it seems like none of the three believe the fan theory holds water, they do have a fair amount to say about it. Roger Clarke claims that the idea makes the iconic ending ofRed Dead Redemptionless tragic, with John Marston’s death acting as his soul passing on, while Robert Allen Wiethoff claims he sees the Strange Man as more of a representation of the devil than one of god. The next theory surrounds shopkeeper Herbert Moon selling his soul to the devil, which all three men use as a vice to discuss their thoughts about the Strange Man.
The next theory surrounds the presence of San Denis' vampire, who players encounter during a side mission at night. Fans have theorized it will culminate in a DLC, which all three actors seemed to neither confirm nor deny. Robert Allen Wiethoff seemed incredibly up for the idea though, stating that fans should start a petition to get the idea rolling, while Benjamin Byron Davis revealed through his answer that he’d achieved 100% completion onRed Dead Redemption 2.
