The Ferry Deck Key is an item that players can obtain duringRedfall’s first mission, Dead in the Water. While it is not requisite that fans find this particular key, there is some incentive for them to do so. Fortunately, it is not extremely difficult to collect the Ferry Deck Key inRedfall, and this guide is here to point players in the right direction.

Before getting into the location of the Ferry Deck Key, it is important to mention that players will need a gun before they can access the item. For the uninitiated, there is a handgun to be found in a green car that is parked in the second half of the Parking Deck, and fans that have not yet grabbed it should do so and then return to this guide.

Redfall: Ferry Deck Key Location

Players that are on the hunt for the Ferry Deck Key should begin by heading to the ship’sObservation Deck. For full clarity, this is the large area in which the Coffee Bar can be found, and fans should make their way to the seating area on the deck’s far end upon arrival. Here, players should use a melee attack or bullet tobreak the large windowsand access the exterior deck.

As soon asRedfallplayersare on this exterior deck, they should turn to the right and drop through theopen hatchto enter a small room. There is a body on an elevated platform within this room, and fans will find that the Ferry Deck Key is on lanyard that is in the corpse’s hand.

Redfall: Where to Use Ferry Deck Key

With the key in hand, players should exit the small room and use the stairs on the left to ascend back into the Observation Deck. Upon reaching the top of those stairs, fans should head forward to encounter a double door, which can be opened with the Ferry Deck Key. Players should then continue onto the deck and collect the shotgun that is on the ground before moving intoRedfall’s open world.

To note, it is actually possible to exit the ferry and completeRedfall’s Dead in the Water missionwithout ever collecting the Ferry Deck Key. To do this, players must simply make their to the section of the Parking Deck in which the handgun can be found, break the glass on the nearby Door Release with a melee attack or bullet, and interact with that release to raise the large metal door.

The only real reason to not use this alternate path is that it does not put players in the position to collect the aforementioned shotgun. That said, there is certainly no shortage ofweapons inRedfall, and fans that do not want to spend time grabbing the Ferry Deck Key should thus not feel too bad about missing the shotgun.
