Resident Evil 3is out now, giving fans the chance to relive the survival-horror classic with upgraded visuals, gameplay, and more. Like otherResident Evilgames,Resident Evil 3is full of puzzles and locks that players have to open, but luckily, players can get their hands on a lockpick that should make that much easier.
Jill Valentine, the so-called Master of Unlocking, can collect a lockpick that is used to open the yellow locks throughoutResident Evil 3.Resident Evil 3players will encounter all sorts of yellow locks during their time with the game, and they often house ammo, first-aid sprays, and other helpful items. Considering this, collecting the lockpick is hugely important inResident Evil 3, and players should do so as soon as possible so that they can unlock all the yellow locks.

Resident Evil 3 Lockpick Location for Yellow Locks
To find the lockpick in theResident Evil 3remake, players need to progress through the game until they reach the Subway Power Substation area. Going down the stairs from the Control Room, players will then need to head around the corner and walk to the end of the hall. Here they’ll find a dead body clutching the Case item. Have Jill grab the Case and then examine it in the inventory to open it up.
Inside the Case is the lockpick, whichResident Evil 3players can then use to open all the yellow locks in the game. Even thoughResident Evil 3inventory space is limited, it’s not a terrible idea to keep the lockpick on hand just in case. This may mean leaving behind some weaponry that would potentially be useful against the likes of theNemesis monsteror the other threats that are lurking inRaccoon City, but players have to do what they have to do.
Eventually, players will actually be able to discard theResident Evil 3lockpick, which means that they have reached a point where there are no more yellow locks to open. Players will know that they’ve gotten that far when a trashcan icon appears on the lockpick in the inventory menu. Until then, though,Resident Evil 3players will want to keep the lockpick handy and look out for yellow locks.
