Secondary Classes, also known as Fabled Classes inRogue Legacy 2can be unlocked for Souls in the Soul Shop. These Souls can be obtained by defeating bosses and completing Scar challenges. Using a Fabled Class will alter the regular classes to use a different weapon, which alters how they play as well as changing their appearance.

4Ballistic Archer

The Ranger themselves is quite the decent base class, beingfavored by beginner and expert playersthat prefer a more distant approach to battles. The Ballistic Archer can be bought from the Soul Shop for 300 Souls, after purchasing, players can swap the Ranger to the Ballistic Archer in the class select screen. Players that believe they are skilled enough with a bow will enjoy playing as this fabled class due to the capability it has at long range. The Handheld Ballista has the phenomenal distance to snipe enemies that cannot yet be seen on screen. However, it is incredibly slow, so using it at first may feel clunky or unnatural.

As the rest of the classes' abilities will remain the same, this means players can still use the Ivy Canopy talent as a vantage point to better snipe enemies while out of reach. Unlike the War Bow, which is the original starting weapon of the Ranger, the Handheld Ballista can’t be canceled and can only be aimed at the ground. This means players will need to get use tothe best Ranger’slack of agility when attacking, which instead now has 200% more damage as well as a further boost to the knock back of the ballista.

3Rock Star

Bards are a commonly unused class inRogue Legacy 2due to their more non-direct approach in combat while having quite an average health pool. By purchasing the Rock Star fabled class for 300 souls at the Soul Shop, players are able to make the Bard amore combat aggressive classto play and therefore more fun to experience than their original style. Rock Stars find themselves equipped with the Electric Lute. It not only looks like an incredible electric guitar, but also deals substantially more damage as well as intelligence damage than the bards original plain old lute.

Due to the Electric Lute needing constant kinetic energy, this encourages players to use a more aggressive cycle of attacks, as kinetic energy can be formed through spin kicking off anything in the environment. Players may have originally taken a more passive role with the Bard through shot notes, especially due to the difficulty of learning the class with its lack of movement and damage. Converting the Bard into the Rock Star can make for a more fun learning experience that encourages the players to Spin Kick, fire and then repeat in order to keep the Charged buff. This buff guarantees that the next hit with the weapon will be a skill crit and therefore continuing to Spin Kick before hitting enemies is sure to do the most damage.

2Reapers

Being the wise Mage is already a great base class to play as. Ranking decently out of thebest classes to play inRogue Legacy 2, Players that enjoy the talents of the Mage but want something with more damage should look no further than the fabled Reaper class. Swapping out the Mage’s Wand of Blasting, that does exactly what it says on the tin, for Charon’s Scythe turns the mage from a class that attacks at mid-range to one that can strike up close. Using the scythe will automatically make the Mage leap forward, players mistakenly take damagefrom this. It is therefore recommended to position the Reaper a layer in between enemies, so they are both above and below, to avoid taking unnecessary damage.

The scythe automatically hits with two strikes that can skill crit both high and low health enemies, making it a great weapon to focus on committing the most damage possible. It is also a great weapon for the Mage to wield due to the large amount of mana regen as each strike returns 10 mana to the Reaper class. This means players that can successfully hit with double strikes will have enough mana to cast the greater spells, which makes playing as the Mage or Reaper so powerful.

1Enkindled Boxer

As thebest base class to play as inRogue Legacy 2, the Boxer is already an incredibly powerful pick. Equipping this combo-dealer with the Enkindled Gauntlets, are in for quite the explosive time, as players will be able to deal a significant amount of damage as well as keeping foes well away. Similar to the other Fabled Classes, this interesting pick can be purchased for 300 souls at the soul store and then selected in the class select menu. Like its Boxer counterpart, the Enkindled Boxer makes the most of trapping enemies in their fists to unleash chaotic combos that are sure to leave the enemy sore. It’s best to keep a distance though as the explosive shots can injure the Boxer.

Players that enjoy hitting hard and taking risks will love testing their luck with the classes new weapon. They’re brilliant for not only dealing large amounts of damage on bosses, but also a great choice to use when completing Scar Challenges in a hope to make more Souls to buy other items in the shop. Any skilled players that are able to stay within the skill crit range for this weapon are also likely to make the most DPS damage in the game, making the Enkindled Boxer by far the best secondary class there is.
