This rumor comes from Rand al Thor, one of the hosts of the Xbox Two Podcast, who was featured as a special guest on another podcast named PM in the PM. He mentioned that almost all Xbox studios submitted something for theXbox and Bethesda Games Showcasenext month, with some studios submitting multiple items. However, not everything will be a part of this showcase, as it would be fair to expect some of them to be cut from the event. Every rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, but Rand al Thor has proven to be a reliable source on several occasions.
Bethesda will likely be a big part of the show, with a considerable amount of time given to the full reveal ofthe highly-anticipatedStarfield. Perhaps fans will also see new games from other development teams under Bethesda Softworks, such as id Software and Arkane Studios, or an early look at the upcomingIndiana Jonestitle from Machines Games.
Even though E3 2022 is officially canceled, June will have other major gaming events and showcases, most notably theSummer Game Fest and its Kick-Off show. The event will be hosted by Geoff Keighley, and it’s set to be filled with world premieres.
Microsoft will probably not compete with Sony for visibility this summer, as the latter has lately been focusing on having a significant event in September. As a result, the gaming audience will likely be focused solely on the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. However, Sony hosts State of Play events throughout the year, and a rumor suggests that the upcomingGod of War Ragnarokwill get a full reveallater this month.
