Nintendo has been incredibly forthcoming as of late, releasingPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s second trailer, hosting a Nintendo Direct focused onXenoblade Chronicles 3, and doing a second showcase on third-party titles. Despite this, there are still several Nintendo games fans want to see more of, includingBayonetta 3.
Bayonetta 2released in 2014, and the franchise has been relatively quiet since.Bayonetta 3was first announced at The Game Awards 2017, while its first gameplay trailer appeared at a September Nintendo Direct in 2021. There,Bayonetta 3’s 2022 release window was confirmed. Fans have wanted the official release date, as well as more info, for some time now, with one leaker claiming that its release date is October 28.

Leaks live and die by their source, with many sources making their name based on their information and many others simply making it up for fun. This information comes way of a Twitter user known as SyluxHunter2, who appeared relatively recently and only has a small following. This means fans should take theirBayonetta 3information, as well as anything else, with a grain of salt.
However, as pointed out by Redditor BrandsXavier, it seems they have a trustworthy record. They correctly revealed some content at the Nintendo Direct Mini, as well as theMario Kart 8Deluxe Expansion, the Direct in February, and Advanced Wars’ delay. They also accurately leakedCyberpunk’s next-gen update, but most of their information does seem focused on Nintendo.
It should also be noted that, for a variety of reasons, most video games release on either a Tuesday or a Friday. October 28 is a Friday, and admittedly,October is an easy guess forBayonetta 3. ShouldBayonettastill be on track for 2022, it stands to reason this leaked release date would be proven or disproven relatively soon.
After all, fans can reasonably expect more information about a number of Nintendo games this summer. Nintendo has also yet to host an E3-level Direct, and it stands to reason it could be sometime this summer too. It could be outside an official showcase as well, but for many fans, it doesn’t matter where it comes from—it matters that it comes out. One way or another,Bayonetta 3information has to be around the corner.
