The former getting the focus at the net event makes sense, given its overall popularity and set release date for October 8.

Some of these Samus Hunter acknowledges as guesses and says that any new announcements wouldn’t be happening at the Direct. Ultimate DLCfighter, story DLC forHyrule Warriors, aResident Evilfor Switch announcement,Splatoon 3marketing, and a “small notice” on theZelda: Breath of the Wildare all in the pipeline, possibly for the Direct but seemingly by the end of the year.
As this information seems to be one part rumor, one part data analysis, and one part guess, fans should take this information with a massive grain of salt. However, as aforementioned, Samus Hunter is more reliable than most online rumors, so if true, fans should expect a Nintendo Direct announcement around therelease ofWarioWare.
As for what’s known regardingMetroid Dreadnow, it’ll finish the main Metroid story arc of the franchise. In the classic 2D style, players will step into Samus' shoes as she explores planet ZDR in investigating the silence of theEMMI robotsthere. Features like free aim and melee attacks return, while Samus also has the ability to slide, cling, and sneak.
