The actor’s long involvement with Marvel Studios has allowed him to see their commitment to keeping the films' narratives a secret, and he recalls one specific incident that occurred in 2012. During the filming ofThe Avengers, someone on the production team printed out Jackson’s watermarked script and put it online for sale. The incident set the company on a manhunt to prevent the script from going out publicly. “It was crazy,” Jackson toldEntertainment Weeklyin a recent interview.
ThePulp Fictionactor explained that Marvel Studios went to Canada, where Jackson was filming, to set up a fake buy for the script. After the company found out who the perpetrator was, the person quit and left the country. Since then, they have strengthened their security to prevent any possible information from leaking. In a more recent incident, Jackson and hisSecret Invasionco-star,Game of Thronesstar Emilia Clarke, remember how during the filming of the show, a drone that flew over the studio lots in hopes of acquiring set images was shot down. “They found him and, yeah, they got him,” Jackson said.
These are not the only incidents in which spoilers have come out from the production set. In several instances, they have come from the actors themselves. Tom Holland is one of the most note-worthy actors to spoil his movies. For example, duringtheAvengers: Infinity Warpromotion, the actor accidentally revealed that Spider-Man and other characters take a trip to space. In another incident, during a showcase of the same film, Holland prematurely revealed his character’s fate by screaming “I’m alive!” assuming the audience had already seen the film, which wasn’t the case.
Secret Invasionis now streaming on Disney Plus, with new episodes releasing every Wednesday.
