Summary
A strangeSkyrimbug posted online has shown a player losing their arms after completing one of the Daedric quests in the game. TheDaedric quests inSkyrimare considered to be some of the more interesting in the game, but this one may have come at a huge cost to this player.
For all ofSkyrim’s positives, the game has developed a reputation over the years for having a series of ridiculous bugs and glitches. Years ago, some of these bugs were game-breaking, although almost all have been patched out in the years since. Nowadays, players can enjoy the stranger side ofSkyrim’s glitches, without having to worry about a completely broken game. OneSkyrimglitch turned the Dragonborn into Ghost Rider, which is exactly the type of awesome bug that actually adds to the player experience rather than detracts from it.
The strange clip comes courtesy of Redditor cnesaiimwg, who is running around without clothes after finishing Meridia’s Daedric quest inSkyrim. However, something isn’t quite right. Their character has completely lost their arms, with the model even appearing to have gore where it looks as though they’ve been sliced off. It’s a bizarre sight, which ends with the player jumping off the cliff to their death. Unfortunately, the original poster never followed up in the thread, so it isn’t clear if this remained this way after death. If so, that could certainly cause a few issues for the playthrough going forward.
Players in the thread were quick to joke about the odd situation. One player even joked that theSkyrimshoutDisarm “doesn’t work the way you remember.” Another even referencedMonty Python and the Holy Grail, quoting “Tis but a scratch!” The similarities between the situations are clear to see, even if this particular clip stops at the player losing their arms, rather than their legs, too. One thing is for sure - the glitch certainly could change the definition of aSkyrimunarmed run.
Despite the recent release ofStarfield, it seems as though players just can’t let go ofSkyrim. However, it remains the only mainline game in the series in twelve years, withElder Scrolls Onlinefilling that void for many players. The recent news that aFallout: New Vegas-styleElder Scrollsgame was pitched, but ultimately came to nothing is sure to be a gut punch for many fans of the franchise. However, with the launch ofStarfieldnow done and dusted, hopefully, development ramps up onThe Elder Scrolls 6, which was first announced in 2018 with near-radio silence from Bethesda ever since.
