The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimtook the gaming world by storm when it first launched back in 2011, and has remained at the top ever since. It really has become one of thosevideo games that players wish they could erase from their memory, so they could play it again with no idea of what to expect. At least this way, all the quests would feel brand-new. It’s all the missions that give the game its depth and longevity, so one person decided that logging quests in the non-gaming world needed to become a reality as well.

Over on theSkyrimsubreddit, user pzet123 has created an app for iOS and Android that’s essentially a to-do list. Only in this instance, it’s directly inspired by the epic Bethesda RPG, right down to the sounds. Like any standard task creating app, users are able to add what they need to do for that day, adding a list of things that need to be completed, and then having the ability to check them off, or mark them as completed, once done. This specific app, known simply as “Quest Log,” does all that, but with a look that’s modeled off the decade-old game, emulating things like the font and look of the in-game quest menu.

Fans will get a kick out of it, especially as, once a task, or “quest”, is finished, the game’s Level Up sound plays. Given thatSkyrimis known for some amazing in-game quests, pzet123’s app is a fitting download for anyone who’s a big fan of the game, and also has a lot of things they need to do on a regular basis. Many in the Reddit thread have expressed their delight for “Quest Log.” One user did show concern about how the app creator has used official sound samples from the game, though pzet123 believes that, because they are “sound bytes,” they are hopeful that Bethesda won’t have any issue with it. It’s hardly surprising that the game has inspired real world ideas. FromSkyrimfans making sweet rollsthat look like they were lifted from the world of Tamriel, to great artists reimagining aspects of the game in the form of wood burnings, the fantasy open-world title has made a significant impact on the community.

As beloved asSkyrimis, there are many who are still waiting on the next installment in the series. WithElder Scrolls 6being Bethesda’s best kept secret, there’s no telling when the follow-up will emerge, especially given that the studio’s upcoming sci-fi gameStarfieldhas been delayed until 2023. As mentioned above, “Quest Log” is available for iOS and Android. Sadly, it doesn’t come with an augmented reality-style objective marker.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimis available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
