6Levi Ackerman
Levi Ackerman is humanity’s strongest soldier. With his fighting skills, there isn’t a single Titan who was safe from Levi Ackerman. Erwin had so much confidence in Levi, that the latter was ready to gamble his own life and the lives of countless others to provide Levi with a chance to take down the Beast Titan.
In addition to being an exceptional fighter, Levi’s intelligence is overlooked by the viewers mainly because he does not manipulate people or come up with elaborate plans, however, Levi has street smarts to deal with most of the situations. With his tough upbringing, Levi learned to navigate through life while trying to stay alive.
5Armin
Armin is one of Eren’s closest friends. Unlike Eren, who is very impulsive, Armin is very calm and collected. He is known for being able to stay calm in the face of danger. On numerous occasions, Armin’s ability to formulate a plan has proven to be priceless for the Survey Corps. Armin’s plans have been responsible for helping his fellow soldiers to survive in tough situations.

Afterbecoming the Colossal Titan, Armin’s demeanor changed quite a bit as he became more ruthless. In the beginning, Armin couldn’t even fight back against the people who used to pick up on him, but as the series progressed Armin was ready to take on missions where he would kill hundreds of people in an instant.
4Hange Zoe
Hange took over as thecommander of the Survey Corpsafter the death of Erwin Smith. It was a huge step up from her previous responsibility, but Hange managed to fill the boots nicely. Her leadership skills ensured that Erwin Smith would not be missed.
Furthermore, Hange is a genius when it comes to researching Titans and their abilities. She spearheaded the research on the Titans, and she developed numerous scientific tools that allowed the members of the Survey Corps to fight the Titans. Hange’s intelligence was one of the key factors in the Survey Corps becoming more powerful than ever.
3Eren Yeager
Eren Yeager is the main character of the series. Originally, Eren just wanted to kill the Titans and save the world, however, as the series progressed, Eren’s persona changed. After the end of the Battle of Shiganshina,Eren became a ruthless individual, who believed that his way was the right way.

His way of handling things earned him a lot of admirers, who supported him to the point where they took over the government. While living as a Marleyan soldier, Eren greatly improved his tactical skills. He became much more cunning, and he was able to make better strategies. His character development is quite stunning as earlier Eren would do things on impulse.
2Zeke Yeager
Zeke is Eren’s half-brotherand is currently in possession of the Beast Titan. As a titan, Zeke possesses immense strength, which allowed him to kill countless soldiers of the Survey Corps. Zeke’s intelligence makes him a dangerous opponent. He was able to trick both Marley and Eldia to further his own motives.
Zeke has been shown to be a curious person as he took an interest in the ODM gear used by the Survey Corps to fight the titans. Due to Zeke’s lack of empathy, he is able to make decisions that involve the deaths of hundreds of people. What makes Zeke truly a nemesis is that he does not let his emotions get in the way of his decisions.
1Erwin Smith
Erwin Smith was the commander of the Survey Corps. He was an excellent leader, who showed his leadership qualities time and time again. Erwin was not the best soldier, but he was smarter than anyone else around him. Erwin’s intelligence allowed him to convince people rather easily. It was because of his ability to manipulate people that his troops marched towards certain death just to give Levi a chance to take down the Beast Titan.
Erwin was able to formulate a strategy within minutes, and it made him extremely reliable. Erwin had the habit of calculating his every move, and it made him unpredictable. With his wits, Erwin managed to snuff out the spy in the Survey Corps. Also, Erwin’s strategies proved to be fruitful in capturing the Female Titan. Like all the great leaders, Erwin had a stoic nature, which made him immune to any rash decisions.
