Amazon Games recently releasedNew Worldand tons of MMO fans flocked to the game to explore the beautiful world of Aeternum. Since then, several players have discovered some issues withNew World, including a distinct lack of crafting materials.
SeveralNew Worldfans have already experienced the lack of high-level crafting materials spawning anywhere inNew World, but Reddit user TentraTint has compiled a list of evidence to prove that it isn’t simply RNG. Just like in other games with crafting, the crafting system ofNew Worldrequires multiple components in order to create certain pieces of level-capped gear. ManyNew Worldplayers are able to collect some items required for crafting, while others are seemingly not in the game at all.

High-tierNew Worldweaponssuch as Axe of the Abyss and Glacial Rage gauntlets require crafting materials that several players are reporting aren’t in the game. TentraTint pointed out threeNew Worldforum posts of players encountering the same issue, with two specifically reporting their problems to Amazon Games. Although Amazon Games has been tipped off to this issue multiple times,New Worldstill seems to be missing the crafting materials.
New Worldcrafting requires players to level certain skills in order to gain access to high-tier craftable weapons and armor. While the lower tier gear is easily craftable with thematerials included inNew Worldright now, high-level players are missing materials such as Embossed Wrapping, Enchanted Bow String, Life Crystal Core, and Ice Crystal Core. These items are said to drop from creatures level 45 and over, butNew Worldfans who have dedicated countless hours to killing the specific creatures beg to differ.
A player known as Tabbo inNew Worldis one of manyreporting their issue to Amazon Games, stating that the Broken Hatchet Artifact and Petrified Fire are easy to find in-game, but that no amount of searching produces an Embossed Wrapping. ANew Worldplayer called NoTouch specified that Fire Crystal Core and Life Crystal Core are easily accessible, but that Ice Crystal Cores don’t drop and cannot be found in the market.
Players are reporting the lack of crafting materials as a bug, but it may be something that’s excluded until a future date or a new location is revealed. Regardless of what legendary itemNew Worldplayers are trying to craft, they’ll eventually hit a wall that prevents them from crafting the item that they want. It’s currently unclear whenAmazon Gameswill fix this loot table issue now that the developers have been notified.
