Spider-Man: Miles Moraleshas officially launched, and while some players have already completed the spinoff Spidey adventure, Insomniac and Marvel are still hyping up the game’s release. The latest promotional material for the game comes via a music video for Jaden Smith’s “I’m Ready,” one of the songs from theSpider-Man: Miles Moralessoundtrack.
The music ofSpider-Man: Miles Moralesis a major strength, and “I’m Ready” is one of the main songs used within the game and its promotional material. As such, Marvel has teamed with Jaden to record a music video for the song, which sees the musician placed on a rooftop as New York stands tall in the background. As Jaden performs the song, stylized versions of the “I’m Ready” lyrics can be seen flashing on-screen.

Multiple bits of gameplay are thrown into the music video as well, showing Miles Morales using his venom powers to take down members of The Roxxon Corporation and The Underground. The lyrics capture the feel of the game’s story as well, with Jaden embodying Miles as he sings abouttaking on Spider-Man’s villainsand how “they think I’m way too young to stand up for the ones I love.” With more lines highlighting how Miles has to prove himself, the song is a great fit for the game’s tone and coming-of-age themes.
Some of thebest quotes fromSpider-Man: Miles Moralesare mixed into the music video as well, making it a strong combination of moments from the game and Jaden’s performance “I’m Ready.” With clips of Miles’ boss fight with Rhino, a brief shot of the game’s ending, and the bridge sequence thrown in as well, the music video highlights some of the best moments from the game and serves as a great teaser for those who have yet to play it.
Intriguingly, this is not the first time Jaden has been involved with Spider-Man, and more specifically, Miles Morales. He recorded the song “Way Up” for theSpider-Man: Into The Spider-Versesoundtrack, with the track being featured in a scene from the beloved animated film as well. With anInto The Spider-Versecostumeand reference present withinSpider-Man: Miles Moralesas well, it seems like Insomniac is just as big of a fan of the film as Jaden.
Whether fans are recreating iconic Spider-Man movie scenes or seeingMiles turned into a brickvia a funny glitch, they have a perfect song to play for all their web-slinging action. With Miles Morales very likely to return in future installments of the series, hopefully a great soundtrack accompanies the young hero once again.
