Sports Storyexpands upon its predecessor,Golf Story, by introducing a bunch of other sports, as well as other gameplay features. This Game Rantwalkthrough forSports Storywill cover the first day of the game until players check in to the hotel and sleep for the night. We’ll go overwhere to find an Orange Token,how to get orange juice, andhow to pull the club out of the sand. Keep checking back for other walkthrough parts as we play through theindie sports RPG.

Get a Sandy for Coach
To get a Beach Sandy, head a few steps northwest of the Coach. Speak to the cashier at the Beach Sandy’s shack and purchase the Sandy for $1.50. Head back to Coach to give him the Sandy.
Check out the Club in the Sand
Head east of the Coach’s position to find a club stuck in the sand. Try all you like, but the club will not come out of the sand, at least for now. In the meantime, players can buy the Sandy Wedge at the Beach Sandys shop for $5.00.
Once players have it in their inventory, they can now tee off whenever they want by pressing the Y button (on Switch). Players can press the Y button again to change the type of ball. Once players get different types of clubs, they can switch them with the up and down buttons on the directional pad.
Get Some Orange Juice for Coach
Head to the front of the lifeguard stand near the club stuck in the dirt and speak to the guy with arrows above his head. He’ll trade players an Orange if they can give him an Orange Token.
Once players find an Orange Token, they can take it to the Juice Bar,north of the volleyball courtnext to Coach. To get an Orange Token, players need to complete a punchcard –the steps are in the next section.
Speak to the Purestrike employee to the northeast of the Lifeguard station to get a goodie bag. The goodie bag will have these items in it:
Open the chest east of where players get their goodie bag to find a Recovery Ball. It reduces distance lost on bad terrain.

Get Three Punches by Doing Challenges
After buying a club, speak to the girl in blue with the crossed arrows above her head. She’ll give players a punch card to fill out. By completing three challenges, players can complete this task. The first one will be with her, and players will need to hit the targets using only the Vector Ball.
For a second challenge, go talk to the guy in blue standing on the pier to the right of the unicorn floaties booth.
He wants players to pop as many targets with just five shots. As a reward for completing the challenge, players can get a stamp and a Steel Ball.
For the last punch, speak to the woman with the blue hat standing on the pier north of Beach Sandys.
Complete her challenge to unlock a Skimmer Ball and wrap up the punch card. The card will turn into a Punch Ticket and will need to be taken to the license store. But, before that, speak to the lifeguard at the end of the dock that’s riding in a dingy. She needs players to get a tray from Beach Sandys. However, the seagulls will come after players, so they need to get back to the lifeguard by following the path of yellow circles. Make sure to hold B to run, and players should be able to complete the mini-game easily.

After that, she will finally give players anOrange Token. Head back to the lifeguard stand to get one orange by trading the token. After that, head to the juice bar, which is in the water north of Coach’s location. And players can take theorange juiceto the coach to finish the quest. Now, he wants players to find Calliope and play volleyball with them.
Play Volleyball with Calliope
Calliopeis the niece of the coach, and she can be found right on the volleyball court next to the Coach. However, she needs to find another player to join in, specifically a girl namedLara.
Sports Storyplayers can find Lara to the right of the lifeguard stand –she has purplish-pink hair.
After playing some volleyball with the group, players will level up and earn a punch on their License Punch Card. And now, players should be strong enough to pull the club out of the sand, which is called Silver Woods, giving players access to its Power Swing special.
The pirates will attack the area, and players need to pick up a cannonball and load the cannon to the east side of the area. Pick it up with A and toss it in to launch it. Unfortunately, the cannon will completely miss the pirates, allowing them to land on the beach.

Parlay with the Pirate on the Shore
Go and speak with the father pirate, and he’ll ask if players would like to come on an adventure. However, the plan is cut short due to the main character needing to check in at the hotel. The game will now automatically take players to the hotel to check-in.
Hotel Check-In
Speak to the lady at the front desk to get the keys to the hotel room. It’s on the fifth floor, so get on the elevator, press the button on the back, and enter the only room on the floor. Players will find their bedroom to the right of the kitchen. Approach the bed and head to sleep for the night.
