New Story DLC in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Star Wars Jedi: Survivorwas filled with high highs and low lows for Cal Kestis and theMantiscrew. Throughout his adventure for the lost world of Tanalorr, Cal in particular was forced to contend with his fight against the Empire, his relationship with the Force, and the betrayal of a close ally. This leaves him a very different Jedi afterStar Wars Jedi: Survivor’s ending, and many fans have questions about what’s next for the third game in the series. Story DLC forJedi: Survivorcould answer some of these questions, while still leaving doors open for rich storytelling in the future.
Two of the biggest questions left by the end ofStar Wars Jedi: Survivorinclude what Cal, Merrin, and Greez are going to do now that they have access to Tanalorr, and how Cal will manage his dark side impulses. Tanalorr was meant to be a safe haven for those persecuted by the Empire, and a story DLC could show Cal and company saving people across the galaxy. This could also be an excuse to introduce new planets toJedi: Survivor, offering more diverse environments to explore. These new stories could also show Cal managingthe dark side of the force inStar Wars, with Merrin guiding him back to the light as she did before.
New Customization DLC in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
One area that Respawn expanded on fromFallen Orderwas customization, and it did so with tremendous gusto. Players were able to change almost every part of Cal’s outfit, and every component of his lightsaber and blaster, with numerous options to choose from. This has proven to be a standout feature among many fans, and there are more than enough opportunities for DLC cosmetics. Whether it’s new lightsaber blade colors orhilt pieces based on iconic Jedi fromStar Warshistory, Respawn could stand to make a lot of money off a few inexpensive cosmetic packs.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivorhas been a resounding success for those looking for an expansion toFallen Order’s foundation. Respawn has increased the scale of the franchise in almost every conceivable way, and the way it has expanded both the story and customization create many opportunities for DLC. The developer is sure to save a lot of things forthe nextStar Wars Jedigame, but for the time being, it would be wise to consider additional expansions for fans hungry for more. With that sustained financial support, the third game in the series could be bigger and better than evenSurvivor.
