Roots of Pacha’s launch saw a rocky start for the game with developer Soda Den dealing with a dispute with then-publisher Crytivo. Conflicts over the rights to the farming sim were at the core ofthe divide between the twoRoots of Pachastudios, with Soda Den and Crytivo working together on the game for several years. Crytivo would ultimately part ways with Soda Den, leaving theRoots of Pachadeveloper taking on the role of publisher for the newly-released game. Now, Soda Den’s next step for the game will see the Stone Age farming sim brought to Switch and PlayStation.

A new trailer forRoots of Pachahas officially confirmed the release date for the game’s console versions.Roots of Pachawill launch on PS4, PS5, and Switch on November 28 alongside a new update to the Steam version. The trailer shows off a variety ofmini-games included inRoots of Pacha’s base gameincluding the snowball fight, tug of war, and rhythm-based mini-games.Roots of Pachais also planned to release on Xbox at an unknown date in 2024.
When is Roots of Pacha Releasing on Switch and PlayStation?
Roots of Pacha’s first major post-launch update is expected to add a plethora of new content to the farming sim. A developer post shared to the game’s Steam page shows off a new animal for players to tame with the Aurochs, as well as a new romanceable character. The friend system will be receiving an update with NPCs sometimes sending gifts to players who have increased their friendship level.Roots of Pachawill also add mushroom growingand meat gathering as new features with the update.
