TheSteam Deckwas one of the best pieces of gaming tech of 2022, and now Valve has unveiled March’s top 20 games that fans have been playing, with some of the biggest releases maintaining their high positions. With theAsus ROG Ally devicein development, not to mention a portable system rumored to be coming from Sony, Valve’s handheld may have some stiff competition on the horizon. Evidently, other companies are wanting a slice of that mobile PC pie. However, the Deck is currently the front runner, even giving the Nintendo Switch a run for its money.Steam Deck listed some big names as most played in February, withHogwarts LegacyandElden Ringbeing among the most played games on the device. With titles being made compatible for the system all the time, more and more people will be wanting to get a hold of the handheld, and now that March has been and gone, Valve has unveiled the list of the most popular games for that month.RELATED:The Last of Us Part 1 is Now Unsupported on Steam DeckIn a recent post on Twitter, an image shows the games that were played the most on theSteam Deckin March 2023. While not a huge amount has changed since February, the remake ofResident Evil 4has now made it onto the list. This won’t be a surprise to many, as the game was immensely hyped up and is currently selling well for Capcom across all platforms. While it is at number 20, with the list being in order of number of hours played, it’s possible thatRE4could climb up the ranks as more people play it on the Deck.

It’s also not surprising that several of thehighest-rated games of 2023 so farhave once again made an appearance, including the aforementionedHogwarts Legacy. However, it is quite surprising to not see Tango Gameworks’Hi-Fi Rushon the list, especially given that it is Deck verified. With the PC version sitting at a current score of 89 on Metacritic, the rhythm-based action game was quite the sleeper hit for Tango and publisher Bethesda when it released earlier this year. Perhaps the hype simply died down or it just wasn’t marketed enough for it to appear on the Deck.

DespiteValve having a shaky history when it comes to hardware, theHalf-LifeandLeft 4 Deadstudio really knocked it out the park with itsSteam Deckdevice. However, now that there are some alternatives on the way, Gabe Newell and his team will have to up its game to maintain its place in the mobile PC market.
