Lemnis Gatesales are ending on April 11, with the game’s online multiplayer servers shutting down for good come July 11, but those that have yet to try it may still want to check it out while they still can.Lemnis Gatewas originally launched in September 2021, earning mostly positive reviews and getting some nods for its unique twist on the FPS genre.
Lemnis Gateis a turn-based first-person shooter with a time loop gimmick. Players take turns moving their hero across the map, with things becoming progressively more complicated as the match goes on. It’s a bold concept, yet many would agree thatLemnis Gatepulled it off admirably. Not only does the game have “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam, but professionalLemnis Gatereviewsalso had a lot of good things to say about the game.

There isn’t really anything else likeLemnis Gateon the market, so even though the game is shutting down in the near future, FPS and strategy game fans may still want to take the plunge and give it a look. Priced at just $19.99,Lemnis Gateis highly entertaining, and there should be plenty of time to get games in between now and when theLemnis Gateservers shut downon July 11. PC gamers will be completely unable to playLemnis Gatewhen the July 11 shut down happens, but those on consoles will still be able to access the game at least somewhat.
According to the developers, console gamers will still get to playLemnis Gate’s local multiplayer and training modes. It’s unclear why this option isn’t being extended to the PC version as well. Anyone that was impressed by theconsole version ofLemnis Gatewhen it was Xbox Game Passand decided to buy the full version for their collection can rest assured that they will still be able to access the game in some capacity even after the online multiplayer servers shut down at least.
Despite positive reviews,Lemnis Gatesimply struggled to find a dedicated audience of players. It’s possible the game’s turn-based gimmick turned off more casual players, or it may have been due to an excess oftime loop gamesall releasing around the same time. Whatever the case may be, it would be great to see a different game borrow some of the ideas fromLemnis Gateand take another crack at the turn-based FPS concept.
