This is the most money a South Korean firm in the gaming sector has raised sincePUBGpublisher Kraftonraised $3.8 billion in August 2021. Overall, it is also the second-largest offering in South Korea this year, following that of HD Hyundai Marine Solution Co., which was worth $553 million.

Stellar Blade Studio Goes Public On Korea Exchange

As part of the IPO, Shift Up sold almost 7.3 million shares, with each share valued at 60,000 won, or approximately $44. According to the report, a recent filing showed that the demand from investors far exceeded the number of available shares by 226 times. Moreover, the source states that funds from the IPO would be used by the company to “diversify its gaming portfolios.”
