Along their adventures, players will come across many weapons that Link can use, from swords to bows to clubs. However, some may not be aware of certain properties of their used weapons, such as low durability which can result in them breaking quickly. These weapons may be incredibly powerful, but players should pay close attention to how long they last!
6Royal Guard’s Bow
Players will be able to find theRoyal Guard’s Bownear Princess Zelda’s study in Hyrule Castle, and they’ll be impressed to find it’s one of thestrongest bows in the game. However, every positive comes with a negative, and for the Royal Guard’s Bow that’s its extremely low durability. Sadly, some players may not get much use out of the Royal Guard’s Bow for long.
However, thanks to the Blood Moon mechanic, the world of Hyrule will reset, meaning players can return to Hyrule Castle and pick up another Royal Guard’s Bow. Perhaps if players are careful with overusing the Royal Guard’s Bow, they can stock up on the item in their inventory and have a backup in case their bow breaks in the midst of a difficult fight.
5Royal Guard’s Claymore
Another weapon in the Royal Guard set inTears of the Kingdomis theRoyal Guard’s Claymore, a heavy two-handed weapon. Like the Royal Guard’s Bow, the Royal Guard’s Claymore benefits from lots of power but very low durability. However, the claymore might be a much more difficult weapon to find compared to the Royal Guard’s Bow.

By exploring Hyrule Castle, players will come across the Sanctum, where a Royal Guard’s Claymore can be found behind a statue. This weapon will be incredibly useful for players, but only for a short amount of time before breaking. Still, it may be worth it for the brute strength by itself, though it’s not an easy weapon to find.
4Gerudo Spear
With only 6 base power, theGerudo Spearmay not seem all that strong, especially considering it has very low durability. However, by upgrading it or attaching a material to the Gerudo Spear, players will be able to unlock an enhanced power for the spear, dealing a whopping amount of damage before it breaks.
Furthermore, the Gerudo Spear is a weapon that’s fairlyeasy to find for players, as it can be found lying in Gerudo Town on a weapons rack. Like any spear weapon, players will find the most use out of this weapon by attacking quickly, turning its relatively low power level compared to other weapon types into a monstrous amount of damage per second.
3Bokoblin Arm
The Bokoblin Arm has pretty decent damage output at 20 base power, though it does suffer from not being able to fuse with other weapons. With low durability as well, one can argue that it’s not worth the trouble, but other players will be smart in knowing just how well-utilized theBokoblin Armcan be, especially in the heat of battle.
For starters, the Bokoblin Arm is incredibly easy to find, as they can often fall off aslain skeleton Bokoblin, who will appear frequently at nighttime in Hyrule just like inBreath of the Wild. Given how common the Bokoblin Arm is to find, plus its decent attack power, the low durability may be a negative but it’ll certainly come in handy when cornered.
2Zonaite Sword
Zonaite weapons are pretty lackluster in power by themselves, but benefit from increased strength whenfused with other materials. For instance, theZonaite Swordonly deals 6 base damage before being upgraded or fused, which is quite abysmal. Additionally, Zonaite weapons generally suffer from low durability, even Mighty Zonaite weapons that are harder to find.

Nevertheless, the versatility of Zonaite weapons when fused makes them worth a lot to every player ofTears of the Kingdom. While Zonaite weapons like the Zonaite Sword can be crafted from raw Zonaite, they can also be found already crafted in select Shrines if players are clever enough to look for hidden treasure chests.
1Flux Core Smasher
Casual fans ofTears of the Kingdommay be confused as to how weapon fusing works, but by taking advantage of it they can make some pretty powerful weapons out of ones that usually break very easily. Many weapons in the game, when combined with a Flux I Construct Core, can become much stronger than they are on their own.
This is how players will be able to obtain a Flux Core Smasher, which is certainly not the strongest in terms of durability but can even outshine weapons likethe Master Swordif the right combination is found. Ultimately, the strength of a player’sweapons inTears of the Kingdomis only limited by their imagination, even when durability is a problem.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis currently available on Switch.
