Apple’s press release did not specify on which day of springTed Lassoseason 3 would kick off. However, a premiere placed anywhere between March and June would be a first for the series, whose past season came out in summer, on top of it coinciding with the climax of European soccer’s most prestigious competitions. While no trailer was dropped, Apple did share an exclusive first-look image atTed Lasso and villain Nate facing offin a staring match in West Ham United’s facilities.
This picture is worth a thousand words as Nate and Ted sport their signature matchday attire. In the former’s case, it’s the dark suit look he started using before turning against his former boss. Nevertheless, those with a keen eye will also spot Rebecca Welton’s ex-husband Rupert Mannion looming in the background, who’s likely to become an even more important antagonist as the rival club’s new owner.
Ted Lasso’s popularity has earned its cast members and writing staff plenty of praise, with many winning awards and Brett Goldstein even claiming a coveted Marvel role as the MCU’s Hercules. One thing to look out for inTed Lassoseason 3 as AFC Richmond returns to the English Premier League and the series has become such a hit is the possibility of enhanced production values, given that the show will now be able to use proper licensing for English teams and perhaps a fewcameos from some of FIFA 23’s best playerslike Erling Haaland.
Regardless, the lingering question surroundingTed Lassois whether the showrunners will decide to keep the series going for longer or if they will cap it off at just three seasons, as Goldstein, Jason Sudeikis, and Brendan Hunt have suggested in their recent interviews.
Ted Lassoseason 3 will release in spring 2023 exclusively on Apple TV Plus.
