The Cuphead Show!is coming back to Netflix much sooner than expected with the newly released teaser picking up right after the animated series’ heartbreaking season 2 finale.

Having just premiered back in August, season 2 ofThe Cuphead Show!fared much better with both fans of the game and critics than the first one, and contrary to the long production time ofPart 1, this next batch of episodes will be available as early as next week. The first two seasons ofCupheadfeatured 12 and 13 entries, respectively, though it looks like this time around 11 episodes are all Cuphead will need to save his younger brother.

The Cuphead Show!Part 2endedwith the Devil kidnapping Mugman and this 5-minute preview from Netflix (via@NetflixGeeked) sees Cuphead having to deal with the immediate shock of losing his twin, much to Elder Kettle’s confusion. The trailer then checks up on Mugman, who’s surprisingly jolly considering he’s stuck in Inkwell Hell for the time being. Of course, starting November 18, audiences will be able to see what sort of rescue plan Cuphead has in mind.

It’s not as if the Devil is having the time of his life. He can be seen mourning the loss of his pitchfork, which is what prompted him to take Mugman in the first place and leaves him as a very incomplete ruler of hell. Naturally,Cuphead’s animation is looking as beautiful as ever, though it’s a mystery if the story and humor will be up to par again.

The Cuphead Show! Part 3will be coming without the added benefit of having the game’s DLC release close to it, as it’s arguable thatThe Delicious Last Coursehas a positive impact onPart 2’s viewership and overall reception. On the other hand,Cuphead’s Collector’s Edition Physical release is coming outnext year. In any case, it looks like the people behindThe Cuphead Show!have really managed to perfect their workflow to put out all three seasons in 2022, amounting to 36 episodes total.

As brothers Chad and Jared Moldenhauer have stated in the past, part of what made producing theCupheadgame such a long and arduous process was getting those animations just right. WithNetflix’sCyberpunk Edgerunnershelping revive CD Projekt Red’s troubled game, expectCupheadto get a brief spike in popularity next week.

The Cuphead Show! Part 3will be available on Netflix starting June 12, 2025.
