The Flashactor Ezra Miller pled not guilty to felony burglary charges they are currently facing in Vermont as part of the ongoing wave of controversies surrounding the now infamous actor.
Miller was scheduled to appear in front of Vermont’s Green Mountain State’s Superior Court for the hearing that addresses just one of the many alarming cases involvingThe Flashstar. This particular incident occurred back in May 2022 whenMiller broke into an empty homeand allegedly stole three bottles of rum, vodka, and gin, at least according to a combination of surveillance footage and testimonials gathered by the local police.

In a breakdown of the hearing,Deadlinereports that Miller appeared remotely before judge Superior Court Judge Kerry A. McDonald-Cady to plead not guilty. They will still have to abide by a court mandate that forbids them from having any type of contact with the alleged victims, Isaac Winokour and Aiden Early. The limitations forbid Miller from having “any contact with Isaac Winokur or Aiden Early, either by phone, in person, email, text, posting on social media,” something to which their attorney, Lisa Skelrot, and Miller agreed to comply with ahead of a future court appearance yet to be scheduled.
The Vermont burglary is farfrom Miller’s only legal problemright now, as the 2022 incident only came on the back of a two-year stint during which they’re said to have wreaked havoc in Iceland. Miller even went as far as choking a woman on a recorded video that went viral, and they also face allegations of grooming. If convicted of the burglary charges, Miller currently faces a maximum of 26 years of prison time and up to $2,000 in fines, though that last part will hardly be the most worrying consequence for both the actor and Warner Bros. Discovery executives.
Although the allegations of grooming have apparently been denied by the alleged victim herself, Miller’s reputation is in shambles, with some polls suggesting mostAmericans would rather seeThe Flashbe canceledthan released if they are convicted of any crimes. Despite all that, Miller has apparently filmed more scenes forThe Flashsomewhat recently, and they have already sustained meetings with Warner Bros. to treat the matter after Miller came out to say they were “suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment.”
Many voices in Hollywood or close to the industry have decried how Warner Bros. has handled Miller’s crisis, most likely due to the studio’s shaky $200 million investment inThe Flash. Initially believed to be the DCEU’s saving grace, Miller’s issues have since shunted that responsibility tothe joint efforts of Black Adam, Shazam, Aquaman, and maybe even Superman.
The Flashis scheduled to be released in theaters on July 15, 2025.
